Summary: The burger was excellent with well-balanced flavors. The café’s atmosphere and interior are appealing. Service was adequate but unremarkable. Review: My taste generally aligns more with a Japanese palate: I prefer subtler flavors and higher-quality ingredients over bold seasoning. I ordered the Mt. Takao Burger with French Fries and have been searching for a burger that feels complete and well-rounded. I finally found it here. The bun has a light crispness with a satisfying crunch. The beef is cooked medium-well. The cheese is present without overpowering the other elements, allowing the flavors to work together. The lettuce is fresh with a light crunch that balances the richness, and the tomato is not overly juicy, contributing both balance and visual appeal. I cannot eat avocado and omitted it, but I expect it would have added another layer of flavor. The lightly salted fries are the ideal size and fried well, providing just enough salt without being overwhelming. They work equally well on their own or alongside the burger. The burger itself has the right amount of mess; in my view, a good burger should be slightly messy and enjoyable to eat. From the first bite to the last, this burger felt cohesive and balanced—a well-harmonized representation of Japanese sensibilities expressed through a burger.
View on GoogleStaff is not very attentive. GOOD TO KNOW: The shower rooms are shared with the public shower rooms that the shop is renting out for the walk-in customers. The shower rooms are not clean. There are mold and hairs everywhere.
View on GoogleI stayed here for an entire month. It's such a chill and comfortable place; everything is spotless, the location is perfect, and the staff are so kind and accommodating. The cafe is also excellent. There are so many hikes and other activities in the area. I expect to come back here again many times.
