So crispy and yummy! Run by an old couple and been eating here since 30 years ago and the taste remains the same. Price is reasonable too. Highly recommend.

View on GoogleThe tonkatsu shop 'Minoya' in Hachioji that I was curious about. First visit. Because of high reviews, I expect a lot. Entered at 13:15 on Sunday. Empty table seats have acrylic board partitions. Counter seats also have acrylic board partitions and the shop stopped in the corona pandemic era. Might feel strange for use by 2 or more people. Even when using table seats, the acrylic board wasn't removed, so the fun was halved. The owner is silent and the landlady? also stares at new customers as if licking. Even though not wearing a mask The unit price of the food is very good, but I thought the term diner is more correct than tonkatsu shop. I understand fillet katsu, loin katsu, and one-bite katsu, but what is tonkatsu? Size? Thickness? Part? Confusing. For a specialty shop, there is no luxury and it's company cafeteria level. If it's a 'Spirited Away~' pilgrimage, maybe it's enough to take photos outside. Lunch business hours are also until 14:00 but at 13:40 the curtain was closed. I also felt strange about the stance of chasing away customers who came before 14:00. Showa retro atmosphere is good. Won't come again to repeat.
View on GoogleOrdered tonkatsu set + mixed fry. Both added together are just over 1000 yen. These days it is indeed cheap. The meat of the tonkatsu set is thin, and the batter is crunchy. Since it's cheap, can't ask for luxury. There is also a loin katsu set, this is 270 yen more expensive, but the meat thickness is almost double. Should have ordered this one. Mixed fry is fish and squid. This also has more batter than ingredients, so it's like eating rice with batter. If it's loin katsu, maybe the satisfaction is high, but personally, maybe I would choose Wako even if it's a bit expensive.
View on GoogleThe tonkatsu is delicious It feels like it's been operating for a long time and the owner is also elderly Inside the shop there are counters and tables, not very spacious The menu is varied, besides tonkatsu there are also hamburgers etc. I ordered the fillet katsu set and ham egg. Tonkatsu is fried after ordering so it's hot and crispy, tastes good. Miso soup also has meat and is delicious. Overall reasonable and good.
