口楽Kōraku
This is the ramen shop "Koraku" located along Yaen Kaido in Hachioji. You can enjoy unique menus such as "Tanmen" which combines oysters and paitan, with plenty of vegetables and herbs. Also "Spice Mapo Curry" which combines curry and mapo tofu. Seasonal ramen utilizing their specialty spices and herbs is also popular. The noodles are homemade, hand-kneaded noodles using carefully selected wheat. We aim for ramen where even the noodles are delicious, allowing you to enjoy the original flavor and texture of the wheat.

I visited this restaurant for the second time last week, and I was once again blown away by their alternative ramen style. The restaurant has a cozy and colorful atmosphere, with a sort of gypsy vibe. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the service is fast and efficient. The restaurant offers a variety of ramen dishes, with different broths, noodles, and toppings. The main attraction is their alternative ramen style, which combines traditional ramen elements with spices and flavors. The result is a spicy and aromatic bowl of noodles that challenges and delights your taste buds.

View on GoogleI learned about this shop and the limited Sanratanmen after the owner of the famous curry shop Maboroshi tweeted on X. I only come near here to eat at Yaen Jiro, so I never expected there to be a shop serving spice-based ramen. If this Sanratanmen impressed the owner of Maboroshi, whom I love, I had to come immediately. The business hours were only 2.5 hours during lunch, but I rode my motorcycle and came the very next day. The shop is equipped with a parking lot, so I parked there and went inside. I pressed the 1300 yen limited menu button on the ticket machine and got the Sanratanmen ticket. A shop with counter seats. And about 9 minutes later, the bowl arrived! To conclude, this is a one-of-a-kind bowl! Among all the spice-based ramen I've had so far, this was the most delicious and memorable. Other than using beaten eggs, starchy sauce, and lemon instead of vinegar, it's completely different from a regular Sanratanmen, it's truly noodles with a spicy starchy sauce. Even though it's a limited menu, it's truly strange why this shop isn't more famous. They are serving one of the most creative and best spicy bowls in Japan. I don't know how long it will be available, but if you like spices, I strongly recommend you go and eat it.
View on GoogleI've been coming here several times since a year ago. My review might be poor, but I'd be happy if it could be of any help. Those who are coming here should especially look at the bottom. Chuka soba has just the right amount of saltiness and is very soothing. There are many types of chashu, so it's fun to eat😌. The Tokusei Rujang-men was addictive! The onions were a bit spicy, so those who don't like it might want to be careful...? The Mapo-men was very delicious with spices I've never tasted before! Adding a small rice at the end made it even more delicious! The menu changes depending on the day and there are irregular holidays, so I recommend always checking the information on Twitter! Also, as it has appeared several times in other people's reviews, if you are very concerned about the staff's customer service, I recommend coming on Saturday and Sunday. There was a notice about that at the entrance recently, so make sure to check it before entering! New banknotes and new 500 yen coins cannot be used, so I recommend preparing old banknotes and old 500 yen coins in advance!

Here, it basically runs with the style of [Chuka soba + Mapo-men (+ limited menu)]. The limited menu changes according to the store manager's mood, and is usually announced on X on the day. ・Mapo-men comes with a mini rice. Also, if you show your student ID, you can get a mini rice. ・Besides ramen, they also handle alcoholic beverages such as beer and spice highballs. ・The ticket machine cannot use new banknotes, you need to have them exchanged by the staff. ・Besides ramen, they also sell herb shichimi, sansho seasoning sets, and T-shirts.
