An hour away from shinjuku station by train. Good views and a easy hike. Has a cable car/ chairlift to go halfway up/down. Restaurants and vending machines available the whole way up. Also includes a monkey park
View on GoogleYou may learn about this location during edo period if you can read Japanese including kanji words. Here you can see many 金 letters. That’s the character and belief in this street from edo period. I sat down a bench and imagined if i were a merchant at that time. Thought about merchants and manufacturers life during ero period.
View on GoogleThis is the mid point of the climb up Mt Takao. You can choose to walk up or take the cable car up to the observatory. We chose to walk admittedly it was a struggle initially. Great view of Tokyo and the surrounding from here. There are also food vendors near the observatory.
View on GoogleBeautiful view looking back onto the city! Lots of statues lining the path. No bathrooms.
View on GoogleGood if you like hiking, terrible if you are out of shape. Has a beautiful view of Tokyo.
