I'd long heard that the food was excellent and the prices weren't high, so I visited for the first time on my way back from Mount Takao. My first impression was an old-fashioned storefront and staff moving efficiently. The special set meal was 「赤魚の粕漬け定食」, so I ordered that and a draft beer. Not only was it very delicious, but the rice portion was enormous. If I'd known the amount beforehand, I would have liked to order an extra meat dish. There was also a group drinking as if at an izakaya at the same time, so I thought it would be nice to come for drinks with people who like Mount Takao.

A set-meal restaurant in front of Takao Station. Customers keep coming for evening drinks or meals. The saury sashimi set meal is prepared very carefully, and you can see why locals love this place. I also received complimentary fried saury bones. It's a lovely shop.

I came for dinner around 19時00分 on a Saturday night. The interior has a calm, Showa-era feel! It's an incredibly comfortable place. There's a wide selection of alcohol, and it's reasonably priced! Great for drinking! Great for eating! A shop I absolutely hope survives for future generations. Despite soaring rice prices, the 『あきたこまち』 sourced from Akita was sweet and pleasantly chewy! Incredibly delicious. The fried chicken was a pretty generous portion too! 560円. If you order rice with it, miso soup and pickles are included, making it such a great deal!! Every drinking snack can turn into a set meal! I couldn't decide what to eat. Next time, I'd like to try the rice bowls~. It was very delicious. Thank you for the meal.

There was constant male shouting in the kitchen, perhaps an argument, and even opening and closing the fridge became a way to vent anger. The atmosphere was awful and uncomfortable. I wanted to leave, but I'd already ordered, so I had no choice… Looking at other reviews, the owner seems aware of it. Yet it still hasn't improved… People who are highly empathetic should not go. It feels like you're the one being yelled at, and it makes you want to cry. I ate food made in irritation while feeling upset myself, so of course it couldn't taste good. I will never go again.
