Another recommendation by hotel staff, and it's right behind the hotel. Watanabe opened early for me, and I felt bad that I was the only customer there. I had the crab korokke bento, grilled saury and vanilla ice cream for dessert with hoji tea. The chef deboned the fish for me, personally which was very much appreciated. He and the waitress were very talkative, but I seemed to have come down with a cough (not the restaurant's fault, a cough had been nagging me the whole trip). I couldn't finish my sentences, so thought I'd better finish my dessert and leave.

We went after the hotel we were staying at recommended it. That day, the owner-chef was handling everything alone. While enjoying the appetizers, we waited for the dishes we'd each ordered. Lots of vegetables, so my eldest son, who lives on his own, was thrilled! The tempura, the aji fry, the butadon, the karaage, the yam dumplings, the chilled udon, the miso soup, the simmered hijiki, and more—every single dish was really, really delicious!! They have a wide range of sake and lots of kinds of sashimi too. I wish I could've had some~ I'll save that for next time! Eating in a quiet space decorated with big lilies and filled with a sooo lovely fragrance was so, so soothing💕 The owner's warm personality was soothing too~🥰 We'll definitely drop by again! The calm atmosphere and the Japanese food made by the friendly owner—so, so delicious. We had a meal here to celebrate my mother's birthday. They prepared lots of my mother's favorite things, and not just my mother but the whole family had a wonderfully satisfying time. Thank you very much.

I ordered the gindara (sablefish) grilled with sake lees! The atmosphere inside was great! Chatting with the owner was fun too, and I was glad I came in! I only realized after ordering that alcohol doesn't agree with me, so I didn't eat the gindara! But with the meat rolls with tomato and vegetables, the pickles, and the clear soup where what's inside is a surprise until you open it, I really enjoyed my white rice ^_^ It was 3150 💪
