Stopped by Juichome Chaya on the way down after hiking up to the summit of Mt Takao, and it was the perfect reward. We ordered miso oden, ama and yaki dumplings and tororo. Everything was warm, comforting and flavourful after the hike. Friendly atmosphere and a great place to rest and recharge before heading back. And not forgetting that this chaya or tea house was founded in 1899. A little piece of history... WIR: a big Yes

The soba set comes with a broth with grated yam and raw egg. Kind of unique but it’s not really my liking. The place has an awesome atmosphere that you can enjoy your soba while overlooking the mt takao

Coveted terrace seat. Came right at 9:55 and was the first in line. Staff very kind. English accessibility.

Super cute place up on Mount Takao, just got their drink set which is any drink and two dangos! I’d say they were very tasty. The view of this place was so nice, as you can see the city from where you sit. I came on a Monday so it was not busy and got seated right away.
