“八王子みなみ野,” a new town spreading across the Tama Hills in southern Hachioji City, Tokyo. Our restaurant is located in a quiet residential corner of Nanakuni, up the hill from there. A relaxing terrace surrounded by plants and a bright interior inspired by the tropics. The restaurant has a relaxed, peaceful atmosphere that lets you forget the bustle of daily life. We serve carefully crafted homemade European-style curry that takes about 1 week to make. We use plenty of fresh vegetables and fruit, simmering them slowly for 3 days. It is then matured slowly for several more days to finish. Please come and try our one-of-a-kind European-style curry, made with heartfelt care and meticulous attention…

A place where you can enjoy carefully made curry. The curry was delicious, with the sweetness of onions coming through. The cabbage in the salad stood out because it was in large pieces rather than shredded, and it was delicious. The cores and such had been carefully removed. I chose pork, which seemed to have been added on top afterward in big chunks. I'm not fond of fat, but I enjoyed it. I was surprised to see more male customers when I entered. There were also customers who seemed to have come with older female friends. Drinks are self-service, including both iced and hot coffee, and you can help yourself to refills. I could also pay with PayPay. The Basque cheesecake looked delicious too✨ I didn't have any this time because I had plans to eat afterward, but I'd like to try it next time. Apparently lemon is available until 10/1, and pumpkin is the new flavor. The woman serving us was very pleasant too, and I had a lovely time.

A curry specialty restaurant that allows dogs indoors. Their curry is European-style, so it's thick and rich. There's hardly any heat, so those looking for a strong spice presence may find it lacking. But it's a good, deeply flavorful curry. And for dessert, they have Basque cheesecake from THE BASQUE. That's delicious too. Coffee refills were unlimited as well, and it was surprisingly good, so I ended up having 3 cups. I asked for less rice (and curry too), but I was still full. It's run by a young couple? A very pleasant place. They're only open from 11 to 15 (last orders at 14:30), so watch the time. I didn't bring my dog this time, but I'd like to bring them next time.

Leave Hachioji-Minamino Station's west exit, head to the main road with the police box, cross it and turn left, then follow the ring road south around the residential area. It's quite a walk on foot, but where the houses on the left side of the road (opposite the side you're walking on), previously lining both sides, end, and the grassy central divider becomes concrete from that point onward, there is an entrance surrounded by hedges at the corner of the intersection (on your right as you walk). It shares premises with ノア動物病院. Unfortunately, the front entrance has stairs and isn't barrier-free, but wheelchair users can enter from the parking lot through the veterinary clinic. (Immediately after entering the clinic's double doors, the door on the right leads to a shared space with the restaurant; the restroom is on the left, and the door into the restaurant is on the right.) The restaurant has 4 tables with 16 seats (6、4、4、2 seats), accommodating up to 4 groups, but terrace seating is available on sunny days. The restaurant also allows dogs, and when it's busy, visits are limited to 90 minutes for the sake of waiting customers. The menu offers 9 curries (1 is a children's curry), 11 toppings such as tomato, avocado, cheese, potato salad, and fried garlic, side dishes such as salad and fries, lassi, soft drinks, wine, regional sodas from various areas, and cheesecake from the Basque region (Spain) that's available only in limited places. I had their staple “具沢山 黒カリー”(1,450円). The curry comes with salad and unlimited coffee (self-service). You can choose from 5 rice quantities, with a surcharge or discount depending on the amount (discounts apply only if you also reduce the curry sauce). Served in a ceramic curry pot, the curry is pitch-black as the name black curry suggests. Even the basic sauce contains plenty of meat broken down into fibers, but “具沢山 黒カリー” also includes chunky beef and pork, topped with flame-melted Gouda cheese. The heat is mild, but the spices come through clearly, with a rich, concentrated (full-bodied) flavor enhanced by the acidity of tomatoes and other vegetables. You can enjoy countless variations: add freshness (lightness) with tomato or avocado toppings, toasted aromas with fried onions or garlic, or mellowness with an onsen egg or potato salad. The cheesecake I had afterward (I forgot to photograph it) also had a rich cheese flavor without being cloying, making it refreshing to eat. The plate comes with black pepper and rock salt, which further highlight its flavor and sweetness when added. I'd like to try different curry variations and pair them with wine too. (※These are purely personal impressions.)

Visited for lunch I'd been to the location above ロピア before, so I tried this one too. Double cheese curry with a large rice portion There really is a lot of rice... There wasn't enough curry sauce. The flavor is European-style curry, not spicy, so I think it's easy to enjoy.

Gajumaru curry with 3 varieties and 500g of rice. Together with 450g of sauce, nearly 1kg in total is quite a lot😵 It comes with a Japanese side-dish buffet and drink bar for 1890円. A generous selection of sauces: dry miso curry, European-style curry with seared cheese, and hayashi. The Japanese side dishes were delicious too, and the ginger chicken was exceptional😄
