Was disappointed that there's no lunch menu on weekends and holidays. Food is very tasty, and I was surprised to find cilantro served with my curry. Hope to be able to come again for lunch.

Food was served cold. The curries were sweet in taste so people looking for Indian food may not get what they are looking for. However, they do have vegetarian options.

Decent restaurant. More of a Japanese Indian restaurant.

I had something to do nearby, so I decided to have lunch at this restaurant I'd been curious about for a while. I ordered a large eggplant and minced meat curry, said to be Naoto Takenaka's favorite, at spice level 2, plus a daikon salad. The food arrived in about 10 minutes. First, contrary to its appearance, the eggplant and minced meat curry had a surprisingly light, gentle flavor. Yet somehow its intriguing flavor kept drawing me back for more, and it was gone in no time. However, spice level 2 lacked a little kick, so level 4 might have been fine. The turmeric rice was a blend of Japanese rice and basmati, scattered with mustard seeds. The balance of fluffy basmati, chewy Japanese rice, and the popping texture and flavor of mustard seeds was very good. I ate the daikon salad with dressing from the bottle on the table. There were lots of chilies at the bottom of the bottle, so I thought it might be spicy, but it wasn't, and tasted refreshing. As for service, I'd seen several reviews here saying it wasn't good, but when I visited, all the staff were pleasant and their greetings were clear and lively. Next time I'd like to visit in the evening and have biryani.
