Not worth the prices, considering both taste and portion size. Very homely old school mom and pop shop. Good environment but that's pretty much it.
View on GoogleThis little soba house right on the entrance to Chuo Expressway is my wife and mine secret place to get great food at a reasonable price. Staff is very friendly.
View on GoogleWhen I went to Hachioji for business, a local recommended the curry udon here, so I stopped by on the way back. Found a sign near the entrance of the Chuo Expressway. In a narrow space, there are tatami seats and table seats neatly arranged, and the interior looks like a soba shop. Perhaps because it's a lunch menu, individual udon and soba are limited, and the ones that look delicious are sets with rice. Since udon alone is enough, I asked to omit the rice for the same price. Chewy udon with a sweet curry rich in broth. This is delicious. It was a humid and sweaty day, but this curry udon left a mark on my heart. The other sets are also voluminous, maybe that's the selling point, but what about the udon and white rice set. Personally, I would like rice to remain an option. This is just my personal opinion. If the parking lot in front of the store is full, there is space in the back. The toilet is Japanese-style and narrow, which is rare these days.
View on GoogleWhen I'm hungry and want to eat a lot but am worried about an upset stomach, the katsudon here isn't greasy and can be eaten lightly, so if you pair it with soba, your stomach will be full enough. In front of the store is the expressway entrance and there is a lot of car traffic, so sometimes it's difficult to get the car out of the parking lot because field workers also come by truck. But, the soba and set meals are delicious, so if I'm hungry, I'll go here without hesitation.
View on GoogleThe last restaurant before getting on the Chuo Expressway. I was in the mood for ramen but found a soba shop, so I slid in just before lunch ended! The parking lot in front of the store was full, but there is space for about 4 cars in the back. The inside of the store is very clean and both tables and tatami seats are well-equipped. I ordered a curry udon and rice set from the lunch menu. It's a Japanese-style curry unique to a soba shop, spicy and delicious. The udon is also chewy and has a strong texture, making it very satisfying. However, it is expensive for being outside the city.
