A place where you can enjoy Chinese food made by an owner brimming with chivalrous spirit! There seem to be quite a few regulars, and the owner comes across as well-respected — a dependable big-brother figure! Admittedly the owner's vibe is unique, and plenty of first-timers might be startled, but from what I saw at the counter, at heart the owner is earnest, and if you're courteous and return respect with respect, you'll be treated courteously in return! Stern-faced, but serious about the food and never cutting corners, which deserves a lot of credit, and even fine-tunes things to your taste — a dependable owner with real chivalrous spirit! Before my main dish was done, the owner even asked if I wanted it spicier with ichimi chili and made it just how I like it — I really appreciated the consideration! By the way, the shop has an L-shaped counter, and you'll need to be considerate, like scooting further in when new customers arrive, so please keep that in mind! Everyone, if you like, come eat at Hachioji's Gyoza Kaikan, where the regulars gather! Eat here and you'll become a true man with real chivalry in his soul (lol) By the way, I'm almost there myself! Gyoza Kaikan, with a nostalgic Showa-era scent! At that shop, there was wonderful food vividly painting the Showa-era flavors of a stern-faced craftsman! And so, with heartfelt gratitude and respect to the owner who made such wonderful food that warmed me to the core — thank you for the meal!

A Chinese restaurant near Hachioji Station. No photos inside. Seating is an L-shaped counter only. There's a food menu but no drink menu. Started with a draft beer. The glass was ice-cold — nice. Ordered 2 servings of gyoza. They make the wrappers after you order, so you wait a bit. Meanwhile, a ton of small dishes come out: simmered eggplant, motsu stew, edamame, fried chicken wings. All delicious and great with drinks. The gyoza that came out were big — 10 of them. The filling was easily twice that of regular gyoza, juicy and super delicious. 2 beers, 2 oolong highs, 2 gyoza, and 4 small dishes for just over 3,000 yen is an unbeatable price, the taishō had a great vibe too, and it's a place I'd definitely go back to.

Visited for dinner on a business trip. There were just two people who seemed to be regulars, and I sat at the counter. Ordered grilled gyoza and a meat rice bowl. The grilled gyoza are filled after you order, with so much filling the wrappers are about to burst — very hearty. The meat bowl is just stir-fried pork, onion, wood ear mushroom, and green pepper on rice — simple, rustic flavor. Cheap too — a good place.

A long-established neighborhood Chinese restaurant in Hachioji. L-shaped counter only. Handmade gyoza — they make the wrappers after you order. My favorite is the yakisoba, made starting from boiling the noodles, and the soy sauce flavor is delicious❗

Visited for the first time The gyoza are the kind made from rolling out the wrappers after you order It takes time, but the chewy wrappers and generous filling were very delicious. Photos weren't allowed inside, so I couldn't take any.
