Despite being far from the station in an inconvenient location, this popular restaurant never stops drawing customers. I rode my motorcycle here repeatedly and tried various dishes. For individual menu items, I have written the dish names on the attached photos and my impressions in the latest-information videos. My top recommendation is the yakiniku fried rice!! The fried rice itself is lightly seasoned, lacking salt and punch. But it comes piled with sweet-and-spicy pork belly and onions, making the overall balance just right. I also recommend the roast pork!! There are 5 thick slices of pork shoulder, exquisitely tender while retaining just enough chew. The ramen, on the other hand, is underwhelming. The broth has little stock flavor, with the soy sauce alone coming through too strongly. It lacks both a crisp finish and depth, leaving only a cloying heaviness. The noodles are medium-thick, curly, and somewhat flat. I like firm, thin noodles, so these felt heavy and did not bite through cleanly. You could say it is just a matter of preference, but for better or worse, this is Showa-era ramen. Honestly, I do not think it is worth traveling a long distance specifically for……… But I fully understand why it is popular, for the following 3 reasons. 1【The elderly couple's personalities】When I got off my motorcycle outside on a rainy day, the owner said, “You'll get wet outside, so take your raincoat off inside,” and welcomed me in even though they had not opened yet. He is a man of few words with a craftsman's temperament, but very kind. His wife is also always smiling, attentive, and gentle in manner. 2【Fast service】2 families of 4 entered together, with all 8 ordering different things, but their outstanding teamwork had the dishes coming out one after another without a wait. This makes it a reliable choice even during a limited lunch break. 3【Excellent value】Most menu items are under a thousand yen, and the [daily set meal] in particular includes a half ramen for 900 yen!! The value sets are flexible too, allowing you to upgrade the ramen for an extra hundred yen. A restaurant that has been loved by the local community for many years. I hope the couple take care of their health and keep running it together for many years to come………

The quintessential neighborhood Chinese restaurant! Run by a very considerate lady and her husband, who does the cooking. The gyoza were bigger than expected and delicious! The tanmen and fried rice were delicious too♡ Complimentary pickles as well. The air conditioning is not working properly, so be prepared for a sauna when you go eat!!

Are they a married couple❓️ This is a neighborhood Chinese restaurant run by two people. I ordered the moyashi soba B set. The moyashi soba had lots of vegetables and stayed piping hot until the end, and the half portion of fried rice was delicious too. I stopped by while picking up something I had left at Takao Police Station. I cannot come often, but I would like to return when I am nearby! Next time I want to try the daily special.

Delicious neighborhood Chinese food A Chinese restaurant that feels like it has been around forever The owner is elderly too The interior is small, with counter seats, tables, and a tatami room at the back The menu is extensive, with plenty of neighborhood Chinese classics I ordered a large yakiniku fried rice It came with quite a generous portion of pickles and soup too Topped with yakiniku, it was an enormous amount and left me really full; a regular portion might have been enough Anyway, all this for under 1000 yen was affordable, flavorful, and delicious.

I chose Hachioji ramen and a half portion of fried rice, but it was actually a little much for someone in their 50s It seems you can also choose thin noodles for the ramen Taste may depend on the person, but it tasted carefully made and was delicious. Complimentary pickles are included too, so I think it would be considerate to decline them when ordering if you do not want them. The chashu was delicious, so next time I will have chashu ramen I think the service is fast. Though that may partly be because there were few customers when we came in.
