Honestly, I'd only ever had 油そば here, so this was my first ramen. It was soy sauce ramen with plenty of oil, and it was very delicious. It reminded me of 吉祥寺ホープ軒 back in the day. Pouring the remaining broth over にゃん玉ごはん at the end was utterly irresistible, meow. I managed to finish everything. Maybe I'll sleep now and see how I feel? I know very well that the 油麺 is delicious. But the ramen here makes me crave it too. Both are delicious. This had never happened to me before, but the server didn't notice they'd spilled quite a lot of broth on me. I like the 油そば at 江川亭 and come occasionally. This time, the crispy gyoza on the sign outside caught my eye, so I ordered the 2-variety gyoza set for the first time. The rice was fluffy, chewy, and very delicious, and the takuan and soup were perfectly seasoned and very tasty too. But the gyoza itself was far from crispy. The normally shaped gyoza was ordinary, neither good nor bad, but the other kind was flimsy and soggy, with only about a 10-yen coin's worth of filling, which surprised me. It made me decide never to order gyoza at 江川亭 again. All the more disappointing because the ramen is delicious.

This is my second visit to 江川亭. Last time I went to the 南多摩 branch in 稲城. There are plenty of parking spaces and indoor seats. As for the menu, it's nice that they have many ramen varieties, toppings, and side dishes. All the ramen is around 1000 yen, but the portions are generous, so I find them very satisfying. The soy sauce ramen has pork-bone broth with back fat floating on it and tastes like ホープ軒. I also tried the fried rice and gyoza; they weren't astonishing, but they were reliably tasty. In fact, I often crave this sort of ramen, so personally, I wouldn't mind having any number of shops like this in my everyday neighborhood. I'll definitely visit again.
