Looking at the reviews, there were comments saying the taste has recently declined, the service is unpleasant, etc., so I wondered if it'd be okay, but I tried it for the first time this time. Weekday lunchtime. The service was perfectly ordinary. Both the ramen and the half fried rice were delicious. For this price, with this portion and taste, I felt it's quite a good-value place. The place isn't big, so I wonder whether you'd have to share a table when it's crowded. Also, I guess the biggest reason I'm not drawn to go is that smoking is allowed at all times. If they made it non-smoking at least during lunchtime, I'd think about going again.

I had the lunch wonton noodles and half fried rice for ¥850. The fluffy, separate-grain style fried rice is very much to my taste and I really enjoyed it. As always the noodles are so-so, but considering the price, I have to hand it to them. The mainland-style Chinese places near the station are crowded, yet this is a neighborhood Chinese diner with flavors gentle on Japanese palates—is it the bad location? Around 2 p.m. on a weekday, the only other customer besides me was one middle-aged lady. Fried rice on its own is ¥750, fluffy and reliably delicious. Mapo fried rice on its own is ¥850: egg fried rice topped with sweet-spicy mapo, and it's filling.

Went at 13:00 on January 3rd, during New Year's. There were 2 customers ahead of me, and about 5 partitioned tables. ・C set (black tantanmen and half fried rice) 850 yen ・Canton noodles 850 yen The food was served without much of a wait. The black tantanmen has a darker broth than usual, and it gets even blacker when you stir it. It seems to use black sesame, and it's topped with meat miso. The noodles are thin and springy, delicious. However, the meat miso was cold, perhaps because it was made in advance, and mixing it into the soup made the whole thing lukewarm, which was a shame. The half fried rice is a generous amount and tastes good. I felt 850 yen for this set is cheap. The Canton noodles are ramen topped with plenty of thick sauce with vegetables, shrimp, and more. The noodles are the same thin ones, and it stayed piping hot to the end, delicious. The BGM was the TV, showing "Matsuko no Shiranai Sekai," a feature on omurice at neighborhood Chinese diners. There were 2 staff members, probably Chinese, talking in Chinese. Cash only. (January 3, 2026)

Came for lunch. The mapo tofu here is sweet and spicy with deep, rich flavor, so it's addictive. It takes a different approach from the Chinese restaurants around it, and it's a flavor that pleases people of all ages. The price is also 850 yen, easy on the wallet, so I come here from time to time. Besides this, there's also a ramen + fried rice lunch menu, recommended when you want a little something! ○ Quick info ・8-minute walk from JR Hachioji Station ・Cash only

Went after work. It's a little over 10 minutes' walk from Hachioji Station, so access from the station isn't great, but it's a Chinese restaurant I'd quite recommend. Inside it's mainly table seating, and toward the back there was a room like a private room. Everywhere looked clean, and the staff were very energetic, which made a good impression. First, a toast with draft beer (Asahi Super Dry)! It was fairly crowded, but it was served quickly, and the foam-to-beer ratio was perfect! It was nicely chilled and delicious. For food, we ordered pan-fried gyoza, yurinchi, shrimp fried rice, and twice-cooked pork. The pan-fried gyoza had a subtle flavor even in the wrapper, and were packed with filling. Juicy, delicious gyoza. They're roundish and cute too. lol The yurinchi was crispy outside with very tender meat, and the sweet-and-sour sauce whets your appetite. It was a hearty portion I could really dig into. The shrimp fried rice was topped with lots of plump shrimp, and the rice was fluffy and separate. The black pepper was just right, and it smelled great too. The drinks were going down well, so I also had a Tsingtao beer. It's slightly bitter but very easy to drink, and it goes so well with Chinese food...! We ate and drank until we were stuffed, but it came to less than 3000 yen per person—I think it's a Chinese restaurant with really good value! Thanks for the meal!
