South exit of Hachioji Station Kaede-dori Cafe Terrace Cosmos At lunchtime, the homemade lunches are popular♪ Inside, there's a big table in the middle with tables around it. Office workers from nearby come here for lunch. It started clearing out around 13:00. Lunch set With miso soup and coffee, 800円 The hamburg seems popular and was sold out. So I went with chicken katsu♪ With miso soup and takuan Chicken katsu Freshly fried Shredded cabbage, zucchini With spaghetti on the side Lots of rice... too much for meee. I poured on the sauce and enjoyed my meal. The coffee was delicious! 800円 is cheap. Since the coffee was so good... no wonder the nearby office workers come here for lunch.

Run by an elderly couple, this is one of the 1 or 2 oldest coffee shops in Hachioji. Their son helps out during weekday lunch hours. The deep interior is a comforting, Showa-retro space, with lots of manga on the bookshelf at the back. The extensive menu's prices are still from the Showa era too, and both the taste and portions are decent. No huge hits, but no misses either; it's more than adequate for the price. I went regularly for a while and tried various dishes. For individual menu items, I've written the dish names on the attached photos and my impressions in the 【Latest Information】 video, so please look at both. My recommendations would probably be hamburg, menchi katsu, Napolitan, pilaf, chocolate parfait, and rare cheesecake? The customers span all ages and genders. Just after opening at 11:00, there are about 3 elderly men, perhaps regulars? Each has brunch while reading a newspaper in his usual seat. During lunch from 12〜13:00, it seems to turn into the staff cafeteria for Tokyo Electric Power across the street; it's extremely crowded, so best avoided then. After that, neighborhood housewives and smokers relax here. Near closing time, students come in as though visiting their family home, chatting and laughing with the owner and his wife. The shop's greatest appeal is the couple's personality: always smiling, with a calm manner. The more you visit and get to know them, the more comfortable it becomes. It's easy to see why the neighborhood loves this shop and why it's lasted so many years. At their age, running it all day with no regular days off deserves real respect. Though he looks younger, the owner turns 76 this year, and his wife is 4 years older!! Apparently their son isn't sure whether he'll take over. I hope they take care of their health, don't overdo it, and keep going together for many years………

I'm a huge fan of Zun Kissa and had wanted to visit at least once. I went in thinking, maybe this place really has been here for ages? The only customers already there were a young father and his child. The interior had an incredibly strong Showa-era vibe, and the mother and father running it were both busy moving around. “Sorry! We've had a bento order come in, so it might take a little while?” That's what they told me, but I said, no probleeem, and decided to wait leisurely. The lunch set is 800円. Even the prices are Showa-era! And both the hamburg set and katsu curry are 800円 with coffee. That alone deserves respect, and the food was delicious too!

Very reasonably priced, and a lovely shop with welcoming staff. I went in at 12:00. There were lots of customers during lunchtime, but it was quiet inside. The food was served quickly and tasted good. 800円 for a lunch set (with coffee, miso soup, and salad) is incredibly cheap. The owner was chatting with customers, creating a very friendly atmosphere. I enjoyed a lovely time reading.
