I've been here about 4-5 times now. Very delicious dishes! I don't care too much for their fried chicken, but everything else.. the soups, the chicken & cashew, the fried rice, everything is very delicious! It never disappoints. And especially try out the fried shoronpo! They're soooooo good!

From the exit of Horinouchi Station on the Keio Sagamihara Line, go left without going down the stairs, then turn left again and follow the sidewalk downhill alongside the station. Turn left when you reach the street, turn right at the “堀之内駅入口” intersection, go down to Tama New Town-dori, then turn right and it's right there. It is barrier-free. I had “中華オムライス” (1,078円) from the lunch menu. 中華オムライス consists of fried rice with fried chicken roughly chopped into 1, 2cm squares, covered with a thin omelet, surrounded by lettuce, and topped with Aurora sauce mainly over the omelet, plus ketchup. I put my spoon into the omelet covering the rice, scooped out a bite-sized portion, and brought it to my mouth. The tangy Aurora sauce, a mixture of ketchup and mayonnaise, gets additional tomato umami from more ketchup, bringing out the sweetness of the soft egg while complementing the lightly flavored fried rice. Unlike omurice made with ketchup rice, the rice has no tomato flavor, so that seems to be added through the sauce on top of the omelet. But that's not all: the fragrant chunks of fried chicken, the chicken's umami, the refreshing lettuce, and their respective textures are well balanced, making it hard to put your spoon down. It's quite an addictive dish. (※This is just my personal opinion.)

This neighborhood Chinese restaurant also has a branch in Hino, and the Horinouchi location has been around for a long time too, over 20 years. The staff are approachable, and it feels like an easygoing place to visit. I chose the 一口餃子 and 担々麺 set (1430円 including tax). It comes with rice, a mini salad, soup (self-service), and a mini 杏仁. Since the soup was self-service, I had it first. Of the 2 kinds, I chose the hot-and-sour スーラータンスープ. It was pleasantly sour and spicy, with a hint of sweetness, and easy to drink. After a while, the 担々麺 set arrived. The 担々麺 had a darkish broth with quite a strong flavor. It didn't taste bad, but the broth alone was salty, so be careful about drinking too much. I think sticking to the broth coating the noodles and meat is better for both your tongue and your body. The fairly generous amount of minced meat was strongly flavored by the broth, and that alone goes well with rice. If you like ramen with rice, the noodles seasoned with that broth might make the rice go down easily⋯. The 一口餃子, by contrast, were light and easy to eat. They were already seasoned, so you could eat them as they were. Starting with the gyoza, I found them just right without adding anything. And instead of soy sauce, dipping them in the 担々麺 broth works too. For anyone who doesn't want the saltiness of soy sauce, I recommend dipping them in the 担々麺 broth♪(^^) The mini salad⋯the dressing was slightly sweet, making the salad feel gentle to eat. I found it easier to enjoy than a sour, salty dressing. The 杏仁 was as expected. I wouldn't have minded more, but as an accompaniment to a set, this bite-sized portion is reasonable.

I visited at lunchtime on Sunday. The customers ranged from families to solo diners. The kitchen staff are Chinese, so you can enjoy authentic Chinese food. It wasn't oily like the reviews said, and tasted good. The ramen broth resembles the broth of stick ramen sold in the Kyushu region. The prices are reasonable, and there's a wide variety of dishes, so finding your favorites seems like it could be fun.

I'd been curious about this place for sooo long and finally went in for the first time. I thought it only offered all-you-can-eat, so I was happy to find set meals too. You serve yourself the soup. So far, so good, but, The soup bowl felt somewhat sticky, and the fried rice that arrived was drenched in oil. The ramen tasted only of chemical seasoning, leaving an unpleasant aftertaste that lingered for a long time. It tasted awful.
