I often passed by, but my first visit was at 10:10 PM on 2026.7.23(木). It is a Taiwanese-style restaurant. Inside are 4 tables for 2, 3 tables for 4, and 3 tables for 6 in a raised seating area. There were 0 customers before me and 0 after me. Although it was nighttime, I ordered the Taiwan ramen+half fried rice set from the lunch menu for 990円. The noodles were medium-thin, slightly wavy egg noodles with a pleasant texture. The topping was chunky ground meat with some sweetness. The rest was bean sprouts and, I think, bok choy. It was only mildly spicy, easy to eat, and reasonably tasty, but the fried rice was lightly seasoned and bland. Other sites said cards were accepted, but in reality it is PayPay and cash only. There is parking for about 4 cars in front of the restaurant, but if 2 cars are already parked, you need a fair amount of driving skill.
View on GoogleThe lunch menu is incredibly generous and cheap. They have raised prices a little recently, though. A large fried rice is so much you could die. Even the regular serving is quite substantial. The taste is hit-or-miss. The noodle dishes are questionable. At night, it is really valuable because there are few places to drink around here. I feel like they are often not open at night, though. Alcohol and snacks are fairly cheap. Quite a few locals come to drink too. The stir-fried wood ear mushrooms, pork, and eggs, nira manju, and shumai are seriously delicious. They are properly handmade, not ready-made. The lunch menu might prioritize low prices and generous portions, but the à la carte dishes other than special-price items and the like might be quite good. There might not be much trace of 四五九 left, but coming for a bit of nostalgia could be nice too.
View on GoogleVisited for lunch again! Something like pork belly fried rice was on offer for a special promotion day, so I had it at an affordable price. It tasted great and the portion was generous. Although it was a promotional price, it was priced the same as the set menu! In Katakura, where there are few restaurants, this place is much appreciated☆ 〜・〜・〜・〜・〜・〜・〜・〜・〜 Visited for lunch! The shogayaki set was 750円, came with almond pudding and such, and was delicious!
View on GoogleThis is a Chinese izakaya along Kitano Kaido. The prices are low. There are plenty of small snack dishes, and the beer is cheap too, so even with 2 draft beers, about 2 snacks, and ramen to finish, you can get change from two thousand yen. The lighting and atmosphere are a little dark, so that probably comes down to personal preference.
