This is jyuwari Soba restaurant, what means, made from 100% buckwheat. Did not take pic of soba we ordered, but i liked the cold vegetable served soba with wasabi. I don’t know if there is gluten in the souse for soba, but soba does not have gluten for sure

I visited during the Mount Takao winter soba campaign. Having no other customers on a weekday morning was fine, but after I ordered tanuki soba, the chatter of what seemed to be the owner couple bothered me while I waited. Well, I could treat that as background music, but the soba was so over-softened you could tell the moment you lifted it. To serve soba like this to the first customer of the morning. It was only edible after dipping it in the warm broth. I appreciated the soba tea they served, since it was a cold day. But I won't return. It felt like a 1.5. A place that survives only because Mount Takao is there. The points are for the soba tea alone. Standing soba shops are incomparably better. It was 800円 with the winter soba campaign's 100円 discount ticket. The regular price of 900円 is expensive. Every encounter is once in a lifetime; some days are like this.

Mount Takao's specialty, tororo soba!! We stopped at this soba restaurant on the way back to celebrate finishing our hike! It had a lovely atmosphere and looked like a ryokan ✨ 〜What we ordered〜 ・Juwari tororo soba (hot) ・Fried soba ・Takao-san sake So easy to eat, it's hard to believe it's 100% buckwheat soba! Smooth going down and delicious (*´∀`*) Tororo really does make everything go down easily ♩ The fried soba had a moist, chewy texture, and I recommend it too ◎ The Takao-san sake was refreshing and easy to drink, like water! It really goes well with Japanese food(*`▽´*) Please do stop by ♩ ⊶ ⊶ ⊶ ⊶ ⊶ ⊶ ⊶ ⊶ ⊶ ⊶ Thank you for reading!! With “approachable” as my theme, I post honest impressions of places I've visited ^ ^ Feel free to like, follow, and comment ♩ Please check out my other reviews too ☺️

After crossing Takao Bridge, the restaurant is on the right and the parking lot on the left. Be aware that parking charges change with the season, but if you use the restaurant, your meal costs 10% less. Inside there is tatami seating at the back and table seating near the entrance; it isn't very spacious. I entered around 13:30 on a weekday, and it was about 80% full. I ordered tororo soba with large shrimp tempura; others ordered kitsune and tanuki. The 100% buckwheat soba, the size of the shrimp tempura, and the flavor of the tororo soba were all good and delicious. The staff were pleasant too.
