I had lunch here after visiting Hachioji Castle. Of course, I ordered the Yakumi Ramen (Hachioji Ramen), which comes with lots of minced onions! I was surprised that the onions weren’t spicy but sweet. I really enjoyed the onions, noodles, and soup. The chefs were also very friendly.

Very fine bowl of Hachioji ramen. Thin noodles in a deep soy sauce based broth, topped with shredded onions - great combination. Not too strong, nor persistently thick like Tonkotsu kind, this is a comfort food indeed for a rainy day. Buy a ticket at the vending machine at entrance and hand it over to the counter for your ramen. CASH ONLY.

Straightforward delicious ramen, I recommend the ones with LOTS of onions. Somehow, the atmosphere is extremely relaxing: as you eat, you feel like a weary traveler resting next to a campfire at night. They're real nice if you have kids too. 10/10.

A simple but tasty ramen. When I had missed the last train one day, this spot saved me.
