ばんぶうBamboo
3 minutes walk from the south exit of Hachioji Station on the Chuo Line, Bamboo is a very popular place for okonomiyaki and yakisoba. We operated for 33 years on the 9th floor of the station building, but in 2017 we opened on the street, a 3-minute walk from the south exit. Our okonomiyaki is fluffy with yam! The sauce ordered from Kyoto and homemade mayonnaise that is like cream are exquisite! Bamboo is a place where you can eat delicious, melty Kaki-oko (oyster okonomiyaki) in Hachioji! Please come for lunch or as an izakaya at night. The last order for business hours is 30 minutes before. During August, we will be closed on Wednesdays & Thursdays and on the 16th, 17th, and 18th.

During our yealy vacation to Hachioji, we always add Bamboo to our list of places to eat. 😋😋😋
View on GoogleVery delicious and very affordable! This was my first time eating authentic yakisoba and it was awesome! I got the shrimp yakisoba! They have good French fries too! The owners are very nice and inviting!
View on GoogleI finally came to Bamboo! ^_^ This is an okonomiyaki shop/teppan bar where there is no teppan at the seat♪ Although they push Hiroshima style and oysters, this is a shop that has orthodox okonomiyaki as well as modern style with soba and egg. Okonomiyaki is quite reasonable. A shop with a rough interior, there are tables and counters.
View on GoogleVisited on Saturday noon. Although there is no lunch now, they said there is a discount for drinks and salad. Okonomiyaki seems to take about 15 minutes, so we ordered one modern-yaki and one okonomiyaki that could be made immediately. It tastes lighter than it looks, and it's delicious. It was not an okonomiyaki covered in sauce. The water also had lemon in it, it was well managed. I will come again. Thank you for the meal.
View on GoogleFirst visit since Bamboo came to the south exit of Hachioji Station. I thought the Deluxe Modern-yaki in the signboard photo was also good, but after looking at the menu and seeing the person next to me eating Gyusuji Omu-soba, I changed my mind. The water contains lemon. It came in 10 minutes. When the Omu-soba was cut with a kote (spatula), soba overflowed from inside. At first I ate with chopsticks, but since the soba became small and difficult to eat when cut with a kote, I ate it directly with the kote as I usually don't do. The soba was well grilled, there was plenty of sauce, and the collaboration with the omelet around it was satisfying.
