Not really worth the detour. The noodles are excellent but the soup is not up to the level of the noodles and toppings. Chashu is great too. Main problem is the soup of the tsukemen. The flavours are not well balanced. The flavour components are overpowered by the fish component. While I am a fan of gyokai, this bowl is not it.

Hachioji ramen? Had char siew men with extra egg and negi. Light but hearty shoyu. Noodles have some give and have a distinctive flour taste. Egg is flavourful, yolk is perfectly liquid. Meat is lean and slightly tough but flavourful. Seaweed acceptable. Goes well with the soup.

It's a little far from the station and near Icho Hall. I've been going there since around the time it opened, but the tsukemen is famous and almost all customers order tsukemen. The tsukemen has a thick soup and thick noodles that cling to the soup, which is delicious. The ramen is only shoyu ramen but the noodles are thin and the soup is gentle and deep in flavor, and the chashu is also thick and delicious. There are various toppings, but basically both are Hachioji ramen with onions. If you order rice, there is a furikake service that feels like a taste you can't experience outside. Negimeshi is also delicious.

Entered the shop at 6:40 PM on Saturday. There were 5 previous customers. Ordered chashu ramen, egg, and extra onions. Delivery tsukemen orders were coming in incessantly, and it seemed they were busy handling those and ramen was put on the back burner. It took about 40 minutes for the bowl to arrive. This is a bit, unexpected.... The ramen is delicious though.

⚠️Delayed post 2026.01.18 Ramen 700 yen. I like Hachioji ramen, one of the shops I was curious about. Since I hadn't walked around the station for a long time, I suddenly remembered and decided to visit. The shop is located 3-5 minutes from the main street, the road has no guardrails but maybe because of the time the traffic wasn't that heavy, so I was able to head there safely. It was delicious. I'm also curious about the tsukemen. It seems there is a parking lot nearby, I think this is a shop that is grateful for those who go by car.
