An acquaintance introduced me, and I stop by about once a month. First off, the interior is clean and the restroom is always clean too, which I love. As for the food, I order both the Agu pork and the LYB pork. The Agu is rich, and the LYB is very meaty. It's hard to pick a winner! And the pork belly is really full of umami and delicious! (Normally I don't eat fatty parts, but at this place I eat them with abandon. That's how full of umami they are—it feels like it melts away fatigue—and the meat is just beautiful) And a great thing about this place is that the extras are delicious too! Sea grapes can surprisingly have a fishy smell even at Okinawan restaurants, but here at Ryu there's no problem at all! I usually get seconds (^^) Since you eat it in dashi broth, the noodles to finish at the end are really enjoyable too. I'll come again! Thank you for the meal as always (^^)
View on GoogleA lovely, clean place where you can savor Agu pork. It's a bit far from the station, but the interior is very clean, the seating layout lets you enjoy your meal calmly, and there are semi-private tables too. This time I ordered mainly shabu-shabu. ◆ YB (Ruibi) pork loin 1,230 yen ◆ LYB (Ruibi) pork belly 1,030 yen The dashi is so delicious it's worth going for that alone. The pork has a pronounced sweetness and refined fat. The loin is tender with high-quality umami, and the belly is rich and juicy—I enjoyed the distinct deliciousness of each. You can order a mountain of finely shredded Kujo green onions, and they pair perfectly—I couldn't help getting seconds twice. The combination of dashi × pork × Kujo green onion is the best. The à la carte dishes are extensive too. ◆ Ryu special extra-hot chorizo 530 yen Properly spicy, a flavor that keeps the drinks flowing. ◆ Homemade jimami tofu 430 yen Chewy and rich with a gentle sweetness. ◆ Mimiga tossed with cilantro 530 yen Bold seasoning, with the crunchy texture and fresh cilantro in perfect balance. ◆ Pig's feet 700 yen Meltingly tender, with no off-odor, easy to eat. For drinks, Orion draft beer (680 yen). Delicious!! It boosts the Okinawa mood even more. The shabu-shabu dashi is so well-crafted that it brings out the pork's sweetness to the fullest. The side dishes are carefully made too—overall a very satisfying meal. I'd like to come back and take my time. Thank you for the meal♪
View on GoogleWe came for daytime drinks. We had Agu pork and Ruibi pork, and the Agu pork loin was so delicious😭 The Ruibi pork was also popular with everyone around me for its sweetness! The drinks were really delicious, especially the highball, which was better than usual—so good I ordered it again and again,,! Orion beer was included in the 2500 yen all-you-can-drink, and you could drink Sapporo beer too! The non-alcoholic mango and pineapple drinks had the rich flavor of concentrated juice. The vegetables came piled high, and as someone who can't resist veggies I was smitten and even got seconds✨ The dipping sauce for the meat was light and seemed to go really well with the chili peppers on the table. It was delicious✨ I want to come again!⭐️💛
View on GoogleThey have Okinawan food too, but I also recommend the shabu-shabu! The ultimate luxurious shabu-shabu: a two-pronged lineup of "Agu pork" and "Ruibi pork (LYB pork)", wrapped around plenty of green onions delivered straight from the farm and eaten with a secret dashi. It's a very healthy hotpot of pork and green onions, but the surprising, impressive thing is that you somehow never get tired of it. For shabu-shabu, Agu pork loin and belly. Ruibi pork (fun name) in loin, belly, and thigh. The fat is high quality, so no heavy feeling in the stomach! Wrap it tightly around an absurd amount of green onions and enjoy the crunch. It scoops up the dashi too. Rather than saltiness or sweetness, the secret dashi has an addictive kombu umami that had me gulping it down. For the finishing noodles, I went with Okinawa soba since I was there. Okinawa soba in this clear dashi!? Won't it be bland!? I thought, but it turned out to be really good. Needless worry. After all, the dashi had become top-notch thanks to the luxurious pork and loads of green onions. I polished it off in no time… For dessert, the Okinawan ice cream brand "Blue Seal Ice." Finishing with that milky flavor was exactly right! The interior is wood-based and can be semi-private. You can enjoy Okinawan food in a relaxed setting. It was a dinner light on both the stomach and the heart.
View on GoogleA pork shabu-shabu restaurant. I often go to a certain family-restaurant chain's pork shabu-shabu, but the quality doesn't even compare. It was delicious. The portion is enough to satisfy an adult. Lunch prices start around 2000 yen, but it's great value. Probably more suited to grown-ups than young people who want to eat a lot.
