I walked in and was able to get a seat for 1, ordered the lemon sour and dark beers (amazing). The owner was so nice, he took good care of me. The first dish he provided when I sat down was so good, I wish I asked what it was. Ordered the tuna (as pictured) and that tasted so fresh

Izakaya Kazu-san. A shop on Hachijo Island that is grateful for its abundant menu. I visited for dinner when I stayed on the island for diving. What surprised me when I entered was the number of menu items. Menus written on boards lined up along the wall. I confirmed at least 117 (there are missing numbers). Apparently, from number 40 onwards, it's Korean cuisine. With so many, I was confused about what to order. The otooshi (appetizer) was stewed offal. A magnificent dish (this was very delicious). After much deliberation, I ordered four dishes: sake-steamed clams, mapo tofu, squid pancake, and yangnyeom chicken. All dishes were authentic and voluminous, but I think the mapo tofu is a delicious menu item worth noting. I drank several types of alcohol, but the makgeolli served in a kettle had a refreshing and delicious taste. Perfect for spicy Korean food. In the end, I ordered many menu items that could warm the body from the core, perfect for food after diving when the body gets cold. Eating and drinking this much for 2 people for ¥8,050 is very reasonable. There aren't many island-specific menus, but it's a grateful place so that meals during the trip don't become monotonous. When paying, I asked about the missing numbers, and they told me that numbers 33 to 39 were left blank so they could be added when the menu increases. So there is still a possibility of increasing, huh. Thank you for the meal.

Izakaya Kazu” is a homey izakaya on Hachijo Island where you can enjoy Korean and local cuisine. All the food is delicious, and if you want to eat Korean food, this place is recommended! There are plenty of drinks, a spot that is irresistible for alcohol lovers. There are many local regulars, and the friendly atmosphere for tourists is a nice point. The prices are also affordable, so it's good that it's wallet-friendly even if you just drop by! The portions are large, so it's recommended to go with a few people and share. Smoking is allowed inside the shop, so it seems like small children should be avoided.

There are 3 types of otooshi (appetizers), so that alone is quite satisfying haha, but there are many menu items, so I'm confused about what to eat. The Korean menu is also delicious, but the omurice was also delicious with old-fashioned ketchup rice! There are menu items that are sold out or changed, but we ordered 6-7 dishes for two people. The price is about 380-980 yen, alcohol is about 550 yen! The service is cheerful and the food is delicious, so I'll come again! I often meet acquaintances too haha
