The beers breweries pour their hearts into contain a diversity of aromas, bitterness, sweetness, and colors that can't be expressed in a single word. That's the appeal of craft beer. If you want to drink such craft beer, start here: 「雑蔵」 at 石川酒造, a sake brewery in Fussa. This brewery produces the local beer 「多摩の恵み」. You can enjoy fresh draft beer with live yeast. In a relaxed atmosphere, you can savor craft beer while enjoying delicious food and listening to jazz. There are always 5 draft beers, so ask the staff to help you find a craft beer that suits you. Today my favorite was the seasonal beer 「ブルーベリーペール」. However, it has a sourness like the campagne bread from 「ルヴァン」, the natural-yeast bakery in Yoyogi-Uehara, so I can't recommend it unless you enjoy distinctive yeasty flavors… All the others are beers that anyone would find delicious.

You can drink beer and sake on the １st floor of ゾウクラ. I had daiginjo. It was delicious. The 塩麹唐揚げ was delicious too. I'd like to go again.

The soba is delicious, the atmosphere is lovely, and I highly recommend this place. It's truly a shame that it will close at the end of this year. However, just now I asked to reserve a meal after a memorial service, and they turned me down saying they were full, even though it was 1 month away. When I asked, “Would it still be impossible if we changed the time?”, they replied, “No, because it takes time,” which wasn't an answer at all. Their overly blunt refusal made me angry. I wish they would clearly state on their website or somewhere that it can't be used for memorial-service meals.
