Uniquely authentic Japanese experience. Very little English spoken. Picture menu available.
View on GoogleI had カレーうどん. The bowl was filled with soup right to the rim. As others have said, it is delicious, spicy udon. The restaurant also has a nostalgic Showa-era atmosphere. There was parking on the same street as the restaurant, a little closer to the station.
View on Google@Jun.22,2025 The last day of the PayPay campaign The Indian restaurant did not open even at its opening time, so I came here for lunch on short notice Support your town with PayPay! I used the campaign for lunch I ordered 天丼 and 肉そば Inside, there are tatami seating areas ✖️3 and table seating areas ✖️3 It is helpful that the restaurant makes its Wi-Fi available The 天丼 tasted completely ordinary, just as expected Apparently the meat in the 肉そば is TOKYO X, but I could not tell the difference in taste from regular pork If asked whether I would eat here without the PayPay campaign, I am not so sure
View on GoogleWeekday lunch. There are 3 rather small tatami seating areas for 4, 2 tables for 4, and 1 side-by-side seating area for 2. It seems to be run by an older married couple? The husband apparently also makes deliveries in the small car out front, but they seem to be on 出前館 too. paypay and d払い are accepted. 肉そば (Tokyo X). There was plenty of meat, and it was delicious. There were plenty of thin soba noodles, and I enjoyed changing the flavor by adding the separately served green onions, tempura crumbs, and shichimi one after another. While many nearby soba restaurants cost around 1500円, this one is under 千円. The noodles are not handmade, but the taste and quantity match the price, so this is enough. At lunchtime on weekdays, it can get a little crowded with local workers and elderly people.
View on GoogleToday is New Year's Eve, so I came here for 年越しそば~ I actually went to other places first, but their parking lots were full or their noren curtains were not out, so this was the 3rd place (sweat) Luckily, the restaurant's parking lot had space too, so I parked there and went in! It was already past 12 noon, so I thought it would be crowded, but there were only 2 customers, apparently an older married couple The staff did not seem to notice that I had entered. So I took a good look at the menu. At first I thought I would have たぬきそば and 半かつ丼, but just as I was about to order, I looked more carefully again and found 半たぬきそば on the menu! In that case, I changed to a full-sized かつ丼 and 半たぬきそば! When I called into the kitchen to order, an older female server brought me cold water. At that point, I ordered かつ丼 and 半たぬきそば. They were answering the phone while I waited, so perhaps they do deliveries? I did not confirm this, so I do not know whether they offer delivery Now, did I wait about 6~7 minutes!? The tray was packed with little dishes. Even though I ordered たぬきそば, they also gave me complimentary burdock tempura on a small plate. Does this come with かけそば too? If so, I thought there would be no need to choose たぬき. First, the soba! Since the dashi was warm, the soba did not feel particularly firm, but as you would expect from a long-established soba restaurant, the dashi had a deep flavor. Now the かつ丼! Perhaps they fry the cutlet only after the order comes in!? It was piping hot. And the dashi—since the soba dashi is delicious, of course the かつ丼 is delicious too! The meat was not too tough, and the fat was sweet and delicious! The dashi had soaked into the rice, making it easy to keep eating. I finished everything in no time. Both the soba and the かつ丼 were very delicious, and I could feel the depth of a long-established restaurant. It was so delicious that I would like to visit again when I am in this area. It was truly delicious.
