Authentic Caribbean home cooked style dishes conveniently located near Yokotas main gate. I tried the half Oxtail half jerk chicken plate and a peanut punch. Oxtail was tender and flavorful and the chicken was a good mix of slightly spicy and smoky. Peanut punch was desert in a cup, rich and creamy. The Good: Great bold flavors, good portion size, convenient location, friendly staff, the flavors are a welcome change of pace. The Bad: A little pricy for lunch, there is a parking lot behind but is difficult to get into. I wish the jerk chicken had a little more char but it was still great. The Bottom line: 100% worth a visit. The hot sauce is tremendous! I'd buy it by the gallon if I could.
View on GoogleI'm so glad I finally tried this restaurant! The oxtail was easily the best I've ever had. It literally melted right off the bone and had so much flavor! Definitely, very authentic Caribbean food if you're looking for something to satisfy your taste buds. The owner was very sweet and they seemed so happy when I told them how good I thought the food was. I will definitely becoming back to try another dish!
View on GoogleThe best Caribbean restaurant in the Kanto basin. I'm from Florida and I have been in Fussa for a few months. This restaurant brought me back home with the spot on Caribbean flavors that I crave. This restaurant should be in your lunch or dinner rotation. Try and discover a flavor that is amazing.
View on GoogleThis food was amazing!! It’s got a kick of spice to it, but definitely tolerable. I would recommend highly to try this place out.
View on GoogleI come to Fussa every now and then for my "home away from home" but it was my first time ever going to a Dominican restaurant, in Japan or in the US! Came by at around 3PM and they seemed to be on their afternoon break but they let us in anyway! Ordered the jerk chicken platter; the assortment reminded me a little of Indian and Southeast Asian cuisine which I found really interesting. Everything was on spot on! But what I was most intrigued by were the fried bananas; never knew they could be eaten fried, let alone taste so good! Also first time trying "sorrel". I'll definitely be back to give their other dishes a try!
