So this place is near tons of schools so the price reflect their clientele. As you can see from my pictures, portions are huge. But no worries, you can take home leftovers so if you don't finish, ask for a takeaway box. Nights are incredibly busy so be sure to make reservations on weekends.

View on Google2026.5.28 I ate Waraji Tonkatsu. Full volume, full taste. 2026.4.25 I visited for the first time. I arrived at 11 am, 30 minutes before opening, and I was the first. I learned at the entrance that this was a shop broadcast on the drama "Kodoku no Gourmet". I added Stamina-yaki to the small bowl of Tonkatsu Teishoku. It was by far the most delicious tonkatsu I have ever eaten. I usually never queue at restaurants, but I feel Yasui Meat is worth queuing for. The softness of the pork that can be bitten off without effort, the taste of the fat, and the crispiness of the breadcrumbs are first class. The price is also reasonable, 1,200 yen for Tonkatsu Teishoku. On the way home, there were about 10 people queuing. Since queues form especially on holidays, if you don't want to queue, I recommend taking it home. There was a sign saying that for takeaway, you don't have to queue and can go directly to the cashier at the entrance, so maybe that can be used. Thank you for the meal!
View on GoogleA former colleague passed away on the 1st, and I went to Tama Funeral Hall to attend the funeral. Only 63 years old, too soon. It seems there were many mourners at the wake last night, but due to work and other reasons, today there were only a few people. Since I have been undergoing kidney dialysis since February, I am on leave this year, and since yesterday was my dialysis day, I attended today. The funeral ended around 11:30, and under the pretext of eating after the funeral, I stormed Yasui Meat to try something new in Kodoku no Gourmet for the first time in a long time. I arrived exactly at 12, there were 3 people queuing in front of the shop, but since it was the time for the previous customers to change, I was able to enter smoothly. The shop was full. Since the blood test showed a high phosphorus value, I had to refrain from salt, protein, potassium, and phosphorus, so I thought, "How about tonkatsu...", but I thought it was impossible to come this far and just eat spicy meat and vegetable stir-fry for lunch, so I decided to order Tonkatsu Teishoku. The food was delivered in about 10 minutes. Sandi Date said on the show "Why is tonkatsu so delicious?" when croquettes were fried, and I felt that was exactly right. There was grated radish ponzu included, and this was an exquisite taste. I tried 5 ways of eating: salt, lemon salt, sesame dressing, grated radish ponzu, and sauce, and my last piece I finished with grated radish ponzu. Maybe because it was meal time, customers kept coming, and when I left, 5-6 people were queuing. I was lucky to enter at the right time.
