I stopped by for lunch during a break from work. It was very delicious. The side dish—shirataki, perhaps?—had absorbed the flavor well, and I really liked it. I happened to enter just as another group had left, so I could enjoy a leisurely meal alone. They also list sake, so next time I'd like to come after work.
View on GoogleA restaurant along Fuchu Kaido, a little way from Fuchu Station on the Keio Line. The exterior looks somewhat expensive, like a kappo restaurant. There's only one lunch option, but at 900円, it's fairly reasonable. Beef steak rice bowl with norimaki 900円 Large portion +100円 The steak bowl, scattered with tender lean meat and topped with wasabi soy sauce, is delicious. You can tell it's good quality, but the number of meat slices on the rice is rather sad. I'd like a little more. For some reason, the daily lunch seems to come with norimaki or nigiri. That's a nice touch, but I'd be happier if they left that out and added more slices of meat. The soup was a clear soup with daikon, and was exceptionally delicious, just what you'd expect from a Japanese restaurant. I can imagine the evening dishes must be very delicious. There's a beautiful proprietress, perhaps?
View on GoogleVisited in April 2021 Around 11時40分 on a weekday, although lunch service should already have started, the entrance curtain wasn't out. Just as I wondered whether they were closed, the owner came out to hang it. Relieved, I went in. There was only 1 lunch option at that time, so I ordered the daily set meal. After about 5 minutes, it was served on a tray. The main was deep-fried flounder with a thick sauce, with simmered bamboo shoots, pickles, miso soup, kappa maki and kanpyo maki, and a slightly generous serving of rice♪ I savored everything to the end and finished lunch satisfied! They served warm tea and happily provided refills too.
View on GoogleA place I sometimes visit for lunch As befits a small Japanese restaurant, they focus on serving one dish with delicious ingredients. The owner insists on always including rolled sushi. I imagine they serve various dishes as a small Japanese restaurant in the evening It's a place I'd definitely like to stop by when visiting Fuchu.
View on GoogleVisited for lunch. This Japanese restaurant looks intimidating from the outside, but it's actually a homely place with pleasantly warm service. Inside are a few counter seats and 4 tatami tables. The counter was already full that day, so I sat in the tatami area. They brought warm tea as soon as I sat down, which was especially welcome in the cold winter. The daily lunch was a butter-soy-sauce grilled salmon set meal for 830円, a typical price. However, it included tekka maki as well as rice, so it felt like slightly better value.
