A old time restaurant that often used for TV drama. Food is cheap but nice!
View on GoogleMy favorite restaurant in Fuchu for lunch and dinner. Great food (fried calamari, ginger pork, kimchi pork, sesame spinach, etc.), great vintage atmosphere, and the owners are very sweet people. Love it!
View on GoogleAfter seeing the 蘆雪 exhibition at 府中市美術館, I stopped for lunch on my way to 東府中 Station. A group of 3 was already waiting, but I entered after about 5 minutes. The male proprietor was cooking in the back kitchen, while a woman, perhaps his wife?, handled the dining room; it seemed to be a two-person operation. Perhaps because 府中の森芸術劇場 is very nearby, the entire left wall just inside the entrance was packed with celebrity autograph boards. There were 6–7 tables inside. Many customers seemed to be local regulars. Orders were taken in turn, and after struggling to choose from the many options, I ordered the ginger pork set meal. While waiting, I checked online because there were so many autograph boards. Apparently the place has appeared on アド街 and been used as a drama filming location, so the connection seemed to be more with TV than the theater. About 15 minutes later, the ginger pork set arrived. As pictured, it was a generous dish with Napolitan alongside the ginger pork. The pork sauce had a certain depth of flavor that really kept the rice going. Customers ranged from families and groups apparently returning from sports to likely nearby coworkers, but everyone was chatting happily, and the atmosphere was good too. Customers kept coming, and I paid as roughly one round of diners finished. The menu lists individual dishes, and making one a set was, if I remember correctly, +350.. The ginger pork set meal was 1,100円. When I left at 12:40, they were taking down the noren, perhaps because they'd sold out. It seems best to come early for lunch.
View on GoogleI had the ginger pork set meal! It was well seasoned and really delicious. It seems to be run by a married couple, and the atmosphere was lovely. They kindly told me that a small rice portion would probably be enough for a woman. I walked in on a whim without any prior information, but there were lots of celebrity autograph boards displayed inside, and I later learned it was a popular place. It was good value too, so I'd like to visit again when I'm nearby!
View on Google[A place used as a "filming location for various dramas"] I ordered 「コンビーフカツ」, 「チーズハンバーグ」, a large rice, and miso soup. The total was 1680円. (Visited 2025/6/23) The corned beef cutlet is packed with corned beef! It really feels like fried corned beef (haha). Irresistible for corned beef lovers! The hamburg steak has that diner-style feel, which is good! The cheese stretches really well. The large rice was properly generous! ◎There are lots of celebrity autographs on the walls. Mainly actors. Apparently it's used in various dramas. After a little chat, I heard it was also used in a drama airing from July this year, featuring 阿部サダヲ and 松たか子! I went just after opening on a weekday evening, but customers soon started arriving one after another. A popular place! I'd love to have it nearby. The staff were lovely! If I come again, I think I'll try stir-fries and fish dishes. Thanks for the meal!
