【Yakitori】Exceptionally fresh 「信玄鶏」, raised with attention to feed, living conditions, and even shorter distribution times, and 「国産鶏」 selected for the best, tastiest parts, are slaughtered in the morning, skewered in-house, and charcoal-grilled to bring out their flavor. One bite and you'll notice the difference! The breast is especially tender—some people even mistake it for tenderloin! Its juiciness and tenderness will surprise you! Start with 1 skewer! We fulfill your wish for “delicious yakitori”♪ 【Fresh Kindai-farmed bluefin tuna】Fully farm-raised! Never frozen! 「媛まぐろ」 is artificially hatched at Kinki University and raised in the fast-flowing waters of Uwakai, Ehime, as a branded tuna! With the rich fat and moist flesh characteristic of bluefin tuna, professionals…

Typical racist Japanese restaurant, once they see a foreigner thats not in Shibuya or Roppongi they automatically assume that they don’t speak any Japanese (even though I called them and asked if they accepted credit cards and said I’d be coming in beforehand) the owners couldn’t even muster the guts to say something to me myself so they sent a female server over to me that did the “X” thing with her hands as many Japanese restaurants in Tokyo do and walked away without any sort of explanation or anything. I suppose it may be a decent place to go to if you live in the neighborhood, just make sure you’re not a foreigner (or a tourist for that matter) Actually walked past a Pizza Hut on the way back and thought “why not? To my surprise everyone in that establishment was very polite, professional and spoke English to me (even though I didn’t expect it)

「串焼 さくら 府中店」 is a 2-minute walk from Fuchu Station on the Keio Line. In its lively interior lined with lanterns, the specialties are grilled skewers made with 信玄鶏 and chicken-broth hot pot. The skewers are fragrant and juicy, with bonjiri and seseri especially recommended. The chicken-broth hot pot is rich in umami and satisfying right through to the champon noodles at the end. The food comes in generous portions at fair prices. Service is cheerful too, making it an easy choice for a drink after work or a gathering with friends.

The yakitori is incredibly delicious and impresses me every time. Besides the flavor, the service is good, so it's exceptionally comfortable. The staff's lovely smiles make me end up staying longer than intended. The grilling is especially precise, with an irresistible hint of toasted aroma. It's easy to drop in casually, so it's a place I feel like stopping by after work. It's ideal for enjoying a fun time with friends. The yakitori here is genuinely delicious and leaves a lasting impression every time. Besides the outstanding taste, the good customer service makes the experience even better. The welcoming smiles make you feel at home, and you end up staying longer than planned. The grilling is spot on, with just the right hint of smokiness. It’s a perfect spot to drop by after work, and a great place to enjoy some fun time with friends.

I found this place while looking for an izakaya in 府中. It's a long-established restaurant founded in 2006, with nearly 20 years of history. The fresh, delicious-looking skewers were what convinced me to book! You might get in without a reservation, but it was quite busy on a weekday evening, so I think booking ahead is the safer option. I found it down a back alley about a 4-minute walk from 府中駅. The warm lighting stands out in a quiet residential neighborhood with little foot traffic. There are plenty of seats, including counter and table seating. It has an open kitchen and quite a lot of smoke drifts through the restaurant, so I'd recommend wearing clothes you don't mind picking up cooking smells. The staff's energetic service made a great impression! Several excellent-value courses were available, but that day we ordered the following à la carte. ・6 chef's choice yakitori skewers (skin, yagen cartilage, breast, negima, heart, bonjiri) ・3 chef's choice grilled skewers (雲仙ハム skewer, lamb rump skewer, 六白黒豚 pork belly skewer) ・Sashimi of bluefin tuna farmed by 近大 ・Domestic chicken liver with plenty of garnishes, tare sauce ・Fried chicken wings (black pepper, tare sauce) ・2 tsukune skewers with tare sauce We enjoyed the restaurant's signature dishes to our hearts' content, focusing on the chef's choice skewers. The skewers, slowly and carefully grilled over charcoal, were simply delicious, and I could really appreciate both the freshness of the chicken and the chef's skill. My favorites were the negima and tsukune. Beyond the skewers, each dish had something special, including branded tuna artificially hatched at 近畿大学 and liver cooked at a low temperature until moist and springy. I visited with my wife this time, but bringing friends for a lively evening sounds fun too. Thanks to the staff for their hospitality, including the blankets and everything else. Definitely stop by if you're looking for grilled skewers in 府中. Thanks for the meal!!
