Very nice for family and friends with kids
View on GoogleThese amenities and facilities are so appreciated when bringing children!! However, this time I ordered an adult meal (タコライス) and baby food, and the karaage served as a side with the adult meal was definitely frozen food. That was disappointing. If they're going to serve frozen food, I might rather not have the karaage. I'd be happier with extra tomatoes in the salad instead! Including the facility fee, I paid nearly 2500円 this time, so the food quality and pricing left me feeling hmm... If it's independently run, perhaps the prices can't be helped, but I hope they'll work harder on the food! Still, the facilities and toys for children are really plentiful, and the staff are very friendly!!! I think eating something delicious while letting the children play is a refreshing escape from everyday life for moms, so I hope they'll improve the food and become an even lovelier place♪
View on Google◆Overview Kotocafe means a cafe for enjoying time with your child. It's on the 2nd floor; take off your shoes to enter. There's a fenced children's area with plenty of toys and a spacious dining area (60 seats). Besides serving food and drinks, they hold various events, including baby massage, seminars, and photo sessions. ◆Impressions I booked by phone that day and visited at 12:00 on a weekday. I called because availability wasn't displaying on the official website. The phone service was polite and very good. There were about 3 groups, each consisting of 2 mom friends with babies or children. Orders are placed on a device. I chose the limited-quantity special lunch. It included a mini parfait. I think most people ordered this. The taste was quite good. Besides the Caesar salad, there was lettuce beside the gapao, so I was pleased to get plenty of vegetables, which I often lack. The gapao was Japanese-style, so it was lighter and easy to eat. With the mini parfait, it was quite a substantial amount. I brought baby food for my 0-year-old, but they were giving out free corn and carrot baby food from the consumer cooperative, so we received some there. My son ate it in seconds, haha. The staff said it's easy to eat and popular with children~, and indeed it was. He then polished off the baby food we'd brought, sitting in a baby chair that looked like a Bumbo. I also bought snacks (rice crackers) for ages 7 months and up. The children's area has fencing with glass panels. There's also a dining counter along the fence, so adults can eat while watching their children play. There are enough toys for a 1,2-hour stay, and they seemed thoroughly disinfected. Perhaps there were rather a lot of stuffed toys. There was also a return box for toys that had been licked. An environment where children can play happily while we enjoy a delicious meal is appreciated and precious, and I really hope this place continues. The staff were affectionate toward the children too, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. ◆Special lunch (with mini parfait) Limited quantity. 1,850円 (tax included) Japanese-style gapao rice with autumn and root vegetables (no cilantro) Karaage Smoked chicken and avocado Caesar salad Today's deli (mini pasta) Mini berry parfait Includes unlimited tea and similar drinks ◆Services Wi-Fi available Projector and wireless microphone available Private parties for large groups possible Available as a rental space Nursing/diaper-changing room available (with diaper bin) Baby food, snacks for children under 1, and diapers sold on-site Microwave and hot-water pot available Bedding for laying babies down, and dedicated chairs available Dinner by reservation ◆Fees Children's facility fee: 250円/1 child Order the 891円 kids' plate and the facility fee is waived ※Outside food prohibited except baby food and allergy-specific meals ◆Access If you search the route from the station on GoogleMap, it gives incorrect directions. It tells you to turn before 新宿公園 rather than pass through, but you can't get through that way. Walk through 新宿公園 and turn left, and you'll see the cafe on your left. Please note the entrance is on the south side. Also, unsure how to get to the 2nd floor, I accidentally pressed the residential intercom at the back… Use the stairs beside the red pillar to enter. Leave strollers on the 1st floor. No parking. Use リパーク opposite or the くるる parking lot. 2,000円 gets 1 hour free; 3,000円 gets 2 hours free. Visited 2024/10
View on GoogleI visited on a weekday, but it was full. I don't think you can get in without a reservation. The staff were kind and helpful, and the food was delicious! I'd be happy if lunch were a little cheaper, but it's easy to visit with children, so I'd like to go again.
View on GoogleWith the concept of an easy place to visit with children, facilities that met expectations, baby food available, and warm service, I thought it might deserve ⭐︎5. But because it's such a lovely place, I'd like to mention some concerns with hopes for its future. Food prices The generous salad, substantial main, and included parfait were all delicious, so 1800円 might not be bad value. Still, since that set is practically the only choice, I'd appreciate an option such as 1200円 without the salad and parfait. I thought perhaps it covered the space too, but considering there's a separate usage fee for children, this single option is a bit hard on the wallet. Play environment Most toys were fine, but the プラレール was dusty and had what looked like food residue, enough to make me think it might need an Oxi soak… I think we were the first customers that day, but there were already several toys in the “Put licked toys here” box, making me wonder whether they disinfect them right after closing. A battery also came out of a toy during our visit. The play area seems broadly cleaned, but more detailed toy inspections would be good. Ordering system They explain various things verbally when you arrive, but with a rambunctious child, I didn't have much capacity to listen… They also verbally mentioned unavailable dishes, but those were still listed on the mobile menu. It would be clearer if those changes were reflected there too. The service was so kind that I'm sure they'd happily explain again if asked, but I felt a little hesitant🙏 As I wrote at the beginning, the service was very warm and attentive. They poured the unlimited drinks into child-friendly cups, helped when we needed an extra hand, and warmly watched over the noisy children. I really appreciated it. My older child repeatedly said “That was fun!” on the way home, and the younger one seemed delighted too, since outings where they can crawl are precious. If each visit cost a little less, I'd love to go often (❁´ω`❁)
