I had fried rice cakes and dumplings! They grill them when you order, so it takes a little time. There were also sweets, toys, drinks (there was alcohol too), plum ice cream, etc. sold. There are wooden tables lined up right next to the store, so you can eat there. Both were chewy and delicious.

Now it is under renovation and the restaurants are not operating, so this rest area is where I ended up. While thinking I want to go to a place where I can eat a hearty lunch... I ordered one Hake-ue dango skewer for 120 yen because I had to at least eat the dango here before going home. It seems to be a specialty. The dango is coated with soy sauce shipped directly from Hida Takayama. This soy sauce is indeed delicious! Because the dango is simple, you can tell immediately after eating it. The dango is grilled after ordering. It becomes freshly grilled, soft, and thin dango. By the way, the name 'Hake-ue' means above the Fuchu cliff. 120 yen for one skewer, considering the market price of dango skewers, I feel it's not cheap, but it's delicious and the location is good, so I think it's okay. Hometown Museum, it was sad that there was nothing during the renovation period, but the atmosphere is good and full of greenery, so I think it should be better known.

Fragrant dango, that's rare~ The burnt soy sauce, like a rice cracker🍘. But, it's dango, right~. First visit after being healed by the winter plum blossoms♪ Next time, I will repeat it during the plum festival.

2026/09/05 Sat. There was an udon shop attached. 2026/02/21 Sat. A lot. 2026/01/25 Sun. I recommend the dango. 2026/01/04 Sun. As expected, it's delicious. 2025/09/23 Tue. Addition: After all, dango is better than flowers. 2025/02/16 Addition: First amazake, they said the alcohol was gone, but it remained. But, it was delicious. The dango too! 2025/01/04 Addition: Still dango. 2024/06/08 Addition: Dango is better than flowers. 2024/02/03 Addition: Still, the dango is delicious. 2023/09/24 Addition: Manjushage Festival. The usual tent was not there, so I thought there was no dango, but they were grilling it on the soft serve side. Whether it was my physical condition, today it was very delicious. Because it's a plum festival, there were lots of food cars, and they all looked delicious. I only had matcha and Hake dango. Even with a 20 yen price increase, it was delicious.

Hakeue dango (¥120) is minimal, and plum ice cream (¥390) is delicious. Cash only. 2025/7/29
