It's a self-service system where you freely combine your favorite dishes from the small plates on display. The biggest appeal is being able to build your own set meal in countless combinations to match how you're feeling that day. The selection of individual dishes is truly extensive, from simmered dishes and grilled fish to fried foods, and even the time spent deciding what to put on your tray can be a blissful moment. Best of all, it's open 24 hours a day, every day of the year. From early-morning nourishment to a spontaneous late-night meal, it has the generosity to welcome you warmly at any hour. There's also a TV inside, making it ideal for enjoying a leisurely 'quick drink' at your own pace with a favorite dish as a snack. It combines the convenience of a cafeteria with the comfort of an izakaya, and once you step inside, you're sure to be charmed by how easy it is to use. A truly unique neighborhood institution that offers the reassurance of 'home' amid the bustle of the city.

You can put together your own set meal to suit your taste. Tonjiru seems to be their specialty, and it had a rich, delicious flavor. There are various small side dishes, so I'd recommend it to anyone with an unbalanced diet. Being open 24 hours is another plus◎

I visited Wagaya no Shokudo, Kasai branch. It's an unpretentious cafeteria with an old-fashioned atmosphere where you can enjoy a relaxed meal. You choose each dish yourself, and being able to enjoy your favorite combinations was appealing. This time, I ordered egg with grated yam, mackerel simmered in miso, blanched spinach, and tonjiru. Everything had a home-cooked flavor and was very delicious. The miso-simmered mackerel was plump and perfectly seasoned, and the tonjiru was packed with ingredients and warmed me up. Another welcome feature is the 24-hour opening, which is rare these days. It's nice to be able to drop in easily morning or night. The relaxed atmosphere made it a place I'd like to visit again.

A restaurant open 24 hours, suitable for night owls and travelers eating outside peak hours. The selection is extensive; besides the self-service dishes, you can also order other meals at the counter. The smell inside is a bit strong, so keep that in mind if it bothers you. The service is friendly, and the food tastes appropriate for its price range.

This is a cafeteria where you choose your own prepared side dishes. There's a wide variety, so be careful not to choose too many. If you don't overdo it, the value for money isn't bad. Since the food is already prepared, it's reheated. The staff will warm it up for you. The taste is so-so. The tuna wasn't bad. It's perfect for a balanced meal.
