I'd heard for a long time that this was a big-portion place and figured I'd go someday, but at lunchtime it was always full and I couldn't get in, and when I tried ordering delivery they didn't pick up the phone, so this time I went aiming for around 2 o'clock. The ramen has a strong-ish flavor but was delicious. I had the ankake yakisoba made large, and there was plenty of it, and the noodles were kata yakisoba (crispy-fried) and delicious. Next time I'll take on the large fried rice. Because even the half fried rice was a normal-sized portion, so I'm looking forward to it. One thing: I was surprised that a dog was running around barking.

The proprietress serving customers. Huh? Wasn't there an owner before? Basically Chinese food, but there's a Japanese menu too. A fair selection of drinks as well. Gomoku soba Bamboo shoots, baby corn, mushrooms, onion, napa cabbage, shrimp, quail eggs. The chashu topping Very meaty and exactly to my liking. Texture-focused. But without the topping, there's nothing resembling meat at all. Pretty sad. Is the soup salt-based? Soy sauce-based? A strange sweetness. Not for me. Mapo tofu The tofu is cut into large pieces, and I like the amount. A decent amount of minced meat too. But there's a sourness. Not for me either. Customers trickling in here and there. 🐶 A doggy sleeping quietly on a seat. Even when customers came in, the proprietress ignored them. Then the owner showed up. Promptly moved the 🐶 doggy off. I love 🐶 dogs, but keeping one where people eat is another story. It's not hygienic. And there are surely people who don't like them. I guess the taste is subtly different when the young couple cooks.
View on GoogleThe quintessential⭐︎machi-chuka in Kasai【Chinese Restaurant Sho-chan (中華料理 正ちゃん)】 It's always so busy you can't get in, but I waited a bit and went in. The atmosphere is nice; maybe it's a place loved by locals! The proprietress is really beautiful‼︎ The menu is extensive, with set meals, Chinese dishes, bar snacks, and more. I ordered the Daily C Set (karaage, cold tsukemen, small rice, pickles) ¥850 The karaage is crispy and juicy with refined seasoning. The cold tsukemen has nicely done noodles with a punchy dipping sauce of rich sesame sauce with vinegar — it keeps you eating😋 A place I'd like to visit again.
View on GoogleI visited on a Sunday at 2pm. I always pass by on this street and it's always crowded, so I'd been curious. You can drink from midday🍺 I ordered the ramen and half fried rice set. The ramen had an old-school flavor, and the fried rice was packed with ingredients. The shop dog was cute too.
