Visited on a Saturday afternoon. It seems to be run by the same company as the hair salon next door. I think it used to be just the salon, but now they're running a medicinal herbal curry shop open only 3 hours during the day, limited to 20 meals, so I went. When I went around 1 p.m., they still seemed to have the limited curry available. There were two kinds: a fermented mineral curry good for beautiful skin and gut health, and a curry with chicken. This time I ordered the chicken curry for 1430 yen. There also seemed to be various fermented mineral drinks on a separate menu. Since it's about gut health, I figured the portion would be light, but it was surprisingly hearty! The spices are punchy and whet your appetite, and I got full! It came with a salad, and I was very satisfied.
View on GoogleA place I found the first time I went to Shinozaki. You can really feel their commitment to ingredients. The “Inochi no Zen” on the day I visited was a shogayaki set meal. When serving, they explained each dish one by one. Agu pork marinated in shio koji for 3 days—tender and well-flavored. But with seasonings free of unnecessary additives, it was very delicious. The rice was nekase genmai. Aged 3 days or more, it's very tasty. There was a lot of rice, but the shogayaki was richly flavored, so I polished it off. If anything, the sesame salt on the rice was almost unnecessary. The miso soup had the sweetness of plenty of vegetables and bonito dashi—again gentle and full of umami. The paper crane is added as a sign of hospitality, and the thoughtfulness is lovely.
View on GoogleRight now the only food on the menu is curry🍛, but the curry was delicious and the staff were pleasant. It has the same owner as a hair salon, which is right next door. The concept seems to be very distinctive and body-friendly✨ It was really good! Thanks for the meal.
View on GoogleSalad, fermented brown rice onigiri, a boiled egg, curry, and a fermented seasonal fruit drink—delicious, and I did something good for my body!
View on GoogleI had the fermented mineral spice curry. It's a delicious tomato-based curry with lots of mushrooms. The plate was loaded with green salad, fermented brown rice, grilled vegetables, and pickles, and I enjoyed it mixing everything together. Great for gut health.
