I came to have tea with a friend. A friend living in Mizue had previously suggested this as a takeout option, but that time we ended up getting takeout from somewhere else, so this was my first visit! The door is an old-fashioned glass sliding door, so it didn't feel like a stylish cafe, but after eating the pudding I ordered, I understood why it's popular☆ Homemade and really delicious! You can tell it must be a lot of work to make. They always have about 4 kinds of cake, plus something like a mini parfait. The pudding seemed most popular, but personally the chocolate banana cake caught my eye too (lol) Next time I definitely want to try the chocolate banana cake. Thanks for the treat☆
View on GoogleI checked on Google Maps that it said “Open” and went looking forward to it, but it was actually closed. I'd made the trip specially, so seeing the shutter down was really disappointing... The notice posted out front said “Check Insta for details,” but I felt that's a bit unhelpful for people who don't use social media or who want to check quickly while on the go. If you're coming from far away, I strongly recommend not trusting Google's info alone and checking the official Instagram carefully before you go. The food has a great reputation and I had high hopes, so it was a real shame. I hope I'll have better luck next time.
View on GoogleI had the butter chicken rice—sweet and savory, I couldn't stop eating. It comes with salad and miso soup too, so the nutritional balance is perfect. I'd be happy if there were a few more seats. I've given up before because it was packed.
View on GoogleWhen I went to Mizue to view an apartment, I stopped by for lunch! We ordered the weekly set meal and the daily set meal, and both were really delicious. The seasoning was gentle, the dessert pudding was an old-fashioned firm pudding🍮, and the berry cheesecake? was rich and firm too! Filling and very satisfying! If I end up living nearby, it's the kind of place I'd want to visit regularly. The staff were kind too—a lovely place where both the food and service make you want to come back! The fact that they accept cashless payment is also 円
View on GoogleA homey diner that makes you want to say “I'm home” as you walk in. An unpretentious, relaxing interior. A female owner who welcomes you with a gentle smile. Set meals full of vegetables. Even though it was my first visit, there's a warm, almost nostalgic feeling in the air. What I had that day was the daily side dish plate. Fresh salad, lotus root kinpira, Japanese-style macaroni salad, bite-sized pork loin katsu, cabbage with sesame dressing, shirasu and green onion omelet, tofu and wakame miso soup, and rice. You can choose large, medium, or small white rice; the photo shows the small size. Both the sesame-dressed cabbage and the kinpira kept the crunch of the vegetables and were very delicious. Ah, I want to eat meals like this every day... For dessert I chose the kuromitsu kinako mini sundae. It came with a cute original kitty cookie. My stomach and heart were full, and I felt healed.
