Price: 700-800 Kids udon :300++ It's not cheap, the taste is strong.if you don't like strong flavor, you might not like here.you can take out orders, if you dine they offer free unlimited rice!😂 the place is small but if you come on weekdays there's just few people dining inside.they have parking space.the only problem here is cleanliness.since we came as family they offered us the table, but we agreed eating on the counter table instead because the big table is so dirty,if you try to wipe it with tissue it will turn black and it's so scary.i thing they need to Scrub it with detergent. The Chopstick is also scary 😭 it's dirty and so old.i asked them for disposable Chopstick and they provided me but they look disappointed. Btw, the fried chicken here is 300 yen but the taste and volume is a winner!i also recommend curry udon but you should be ready to end up eating with udon and rice and be full like there's no tomorrow 😋

I visited こうち屋 right at opening time (11:00) on a weekday. Since it had just opened, there were only 2 people including me, so it was empty and I got in smoothly with no wait. You order by buying a meal ticket from the machine at the entrance. The interior is compact, mainly counter seats with one table, so I felt it's a really convenient place when you want to quickly eat some good udon on your own. This time I ordered the 'Zeitaku Nikujiru Tsuke Udon (1,200 yen)'. The first distinctive thing was the udon noodles. They're quite thick with firm koshi, but rather than a soft, bouncy chew, they have a powerful, densely packed texture close to 'firm-boiled', which makes them very hearty. The generous bowl of dipping broth contains ingredients like okra and eggplant fried crisp and fragrant on the surface. The fragrant aroma of the frying oil spreads throughout the broth, whetting your appetite. Because the richness of the oil really comes through, some people may find it a bit heavy (oily), but when you dunk those powerful thick noodles in, they hold their own against the broth and pair perfectly, so it was very delicious. It's a bowl that fills you up with hearty, strongly chewy thick noodles and a fragrant, rich dipping broth. I especially recommend this place for people who like firm udon with a good bite!
