Our bodies are made of food… That's why we're committed to making things by hand. For 50 years we ran a small hand-finished dry-cleaning shop here, and with the change of generations it became a cafe with a dry cleaner attached. For the cafe menu, we use domestic ingredients as much as possible and are committed to serving homemade items. There are 16 seats at the back of the shop. We've furnished it with light-wood furniture, and so you can relax, we play gentle, carefully chosen music on vintage audio equipment. We'd be happy if you used it alone for a change of pace or for telework (power outlets available, no Wi-Fi), or as a place for small gatherings and conversation…

Stumbled upon this place because of the high rating, and it was 100% accurate! It's located in between houses. It has really cozy exterior and interior, the atmosphere is really comfortable with light wood and greenery accents, even in the toilet. They have coffee, non coffee, food, and dessert menu. Ordered mocha jaba (モカジャバ), creamy coffee (クリーミーコーヒー), and tofu choco cake with tofu cream. What each of us received after ordering: Cold infused water, a shot of cold drip coffee, our orders, and a homemade tofu yogurt with sesame and brown sugar syrup. We received way more than what we ordered, and all of them are not disappointing! The owner is very friendly, the service was top nothing, definitely recommended!
View on GoogleFound it when I went to see the goldfish lanterns at Shinkawa Sakura-kan. I had the rice flour chiffon cake (chewy-fluffy and way too delicious~) and the cola coffee (crisp and easy to drink), and both had flavors and textures I'd never come across anywhere else; I was moved by how strongly I could feel their dedication to ingredients! It was sooo delicious. Not about the shop, but Shinkawa and the lanterns were wonderful too, and there were hardly any people, so I thought it was a hidden gem~ I think if you do them together, your satisfaction will be MAX.
View on GoogleWhen I have errands nearby, I time my visit to the right day of the week so I can eat their super delicious open sandwich. The chewy, crispy bread-like base made from rice is just addictive. It's a shame you can only have it on Sundays and Tuesdays. I'd be happy if it were available anytime. They're also particular about the taste of their cold brew coffee and the music they play; with similar shops popping up everywhere, a shop with its own commitment feels special.
View on GoogleBright, clean interior. The cold brew coffee was mellow, and the gently flavored scone was very delicious topped with jam and fresh cream as recommended. The water also had a faint lemon flavor and was tasty. The manager(?) seemed busy working alone, but gave heartfelt service, and I was able to relax. I'd like to visit again.
View on GoogleCafe near the Shinkawa, aka the Funabori River. Tuesdays & Sundays only: an open sandwich on rice bread made from soaked raw rice, topped with chicken ham made by marinating steamed chicken in homemade rice koji, homemade onions pickled in oil🧅, carrots🥕, and lettuce🥬. Really elaborate. Delicious🎵 The coffee soda recommended by the soda-loving owner: drank it straight at first, then added syrup, delicious🎵 Coffee soda is hard to find so I was happy too, first time I've seen it at a cafe❗️ And a coffee jelly parfait packed full. Coffee jelly is rare at cafes, let alone a parfait, so I was happy. This might be the only place with both coffee soda and a coffee jelly parfait‼️ It's rare to find a shop that serves warm water instead of cold water. The shop's interior has a nice atmosphere. The chatty owner was fun. A shop that keeps books about coffee jelly☕ Payment by PayPay or cash. There's bicycle parking, though not much. Next time, the coffee soda ice float. Thanks for the meal😋
