Very cute museum, they even play a little movie for you. They have a restaurant on the third floor with instagram worthy drinks and plates. You can be done in less than an hour, unless you want to sit down and read for a while. You can find a lot of cherry blossom trees outside!

fantastic building by Kuma as always everything was in Japanese but that doesn’t makes you bored there is no line and practically hardly anyone despite their stress of an online reservation system that only works in Jspan could add 10x 魔女宅急便stuff

What a treat! Two floors of hand-picked children’s books from the Hans Christian Andersen award-winning writer, Eiko Kadono, perhaps best known for Kiki’s Delivery Service. The museum has countless hidden places for kids to find joy around them, from reading nooks, interactive surprises, and pages and pages of some of the best books for kids available, to an interactive video show in the basement theatre (I can’t be a bad apple so no spoilers!). Vast majority of books are in Japanese language, though there is one section of English books (50 or so?) available on the first floor. The third floor cafe serves fun desserts, melonpan, and espresso from Allpress. The cafe has a great view of the nearby river and a spacious terrace with seating. Truly hope having this museum motivates kids to read, get lost in stories, and make new discoveries!

A newly built children's book museum whose theme is based on the classic Kiki's Delivery children's book written by Eiko Kadono.
