Great little restaurant with several choices of food. The system is simple, you take the dishes you want, bring them to the register and they will warm the food for you. The food is fresh and delicious, tasty, and a good variety. Staff really friendly, good atmosphere, a good local restaurant to enjoy with friends.
View on GoogleThis restaurant concept is like company cafeteria where we can pick ready cooked dishes from the counter in the restaurant. Though, the price is amazingly cheap and taste is pretty good.

View on GoogleI went at lunchtime on a weekday. You take a tray from beside the entrance and choose whatever dishes you like from the two-tier counter and the refrigerated case. There's a huge array of dishes lined up, from home-style dishes like nikujaga to grilled and simmered fish, salads, small side dishes, and sashimi, so it's really hard to choose. Once you've picked your dishes, you finally order your rice size and whether you want miso soup. Dishes that need heating are taken away first, then brought to your table after heating. I had saba miso, motsuni, and spinach with sesame dressing, and all of them had a standard flavor in a good way that was comforting. You can also enjoy drinks from midday, and some people were drinking with the side dishes as snacks. There are so many dishes that choosing was half the fun. I think it's a handy place when you want to eat home-style food.
View on GoogleI came to 船堀食堂 百味家 for a drink. The system: pick up a tray at the entrance, pick out the side dishes you want, and pay at the very back. You order drinks at this point, and anything that needs heating is taken from you here for now. They bring the drinks and heated dishes to your seat. Hoppy, black. The squid sashimi is mongō squid. That chewy, sticky texture is irresistible. It's got a solid texture, but it's softer than I expected. Salt-grilled mackerel. This also came out in a good size for the price. Drawn in by how it looked, I got the yakisoba. It's a lightly seasoned yakisoba, but the fried egg is done rare, with a rich, runny yolk… you mix it in and eat. Delicious. If you're curious, definitely give it a try.
