We ordered double eels 4,300¥ Quite impressed about the size serving. The eels was soft but not crispy skin. I still do prefer Suwa style. The shop only open at 11 am. - 1.45 pm Recommended to be in the queue around 9.30 am. I went there around 10 am Already have 7-8 ppls before me.

Really good unagi (eel on rice) but be prepared to wait. I arrived at 10am as recommended by other reviewers and I was 14th in line, so I had to wait for second round to be seated but luckily the restaurant opened earlier, so I actually was seated before 11:15am. The eel is so fresh and portions are too generous. Any leftovers can be taken home. Customer service was friendly and professional. I recommend coming on a weekday if possible.

My first visit to this place. Here are the top 3 things that stood out, briefly. 3rd: incredibly tender and fluffy 2nd: this eel at this price—such great value 1st: absolutely stuffed, the portions are enormous So even I, someone who eats quite a lot, was full. The rice layer is probably definitely twice as thick as at other eel restaurants. Look at the cross section (lol) The oyakodon is huge too! Anyway, if it's your first visit, come very hungry^_^

Arrived 10 minutes before opening on a weekday and got in about 40 minutes later. While waiting, I debated a box or a bowl and chose the bowl, but it was packed with rice. Loads of eel. At 3500 yen, it felt like a bargain. Clear soup and pickles too (quite a lot). I feel a bowl like this could cost 6000 yen in central Tokyo. I couldn't finish it, so I packed the leftovers myself to take home. I think it's worth visiting if you love eel.

A super-sized eel restaurant with overwhelming portions, where queues are inevitable. A place for those who want to feast on eel until they're full rather than seek delicate quality. ・A famous eel restaurant near the Edogawa Ward Office, accessible by bus and other transport from Shin-Koiwa Station or Funabori Station ・Long queues form before opening, even at weekday lunchtime ・The eel is packed in so generously that the box lid won't close—quite an impact ・The rice is also nearly 2, 3 times the usual amount, making the overall volume staggering ・Grilled plump and tender, with a relatively conventional sauce flavor ・A considerate system lets you get a takeaway container if you can't finish ・Chopsticks for portioning out the takeaway food are not provided ・For people who want to enjoy sheer quantity rather than luxury or delicate quality ・The place for when you want to eat eel to your heart's content until you're full
