We had 6 different kind of Gyoza’s all of them were really good, would definitely recommend. Was very surprised to see it so empty.
View on Googletaste goood, but need someone to help the sheff!!
View on GoogleI had the spicy miso tanmen and gyoza. The gyoza were meaty, big, and juicy. The tanmen soup had a strong sansho kick, tingly and deep, with lots of vegetables—totally satisfied. The owner runs it alone so it takes a bit of time, but that's part of the charm! If you're in a big hurry, just don't go then.
View on GoogleWent as a pair; I ordered the egg fried rice and gyoza set. I got to share some of the fried shumai from my companion's daily set, which came first. Tasty. When my order arrived and I ate the fried rice, it was a flavor I love. What surprised me most was the pan-fried gyoza with garlic chives. Probably the No. 1 best in the ten-plus years since I came to Tokyo. Looking at the menu there seem to be many varieties, so I'd like to come back sometime with maybe one more person.
View on GoogleMenu is hard to decipher! A one-person operation, yet there are over 100 menu items—an amazing neighborhood Chinese spot! This place is a bit of a walk from Kasai. First visit on a fellow foodie's recommendation. The Kichi omelet and shumai are delicious. I wondered what a Kichi omelet was— it's an omelet stuffed with fried rice, topped with special mapo tofu. Rich but not heavy, an addictive flavor. The shumai, available only November〜May, has asparagus/tomato/shrimp/scallop. Peppery and a little spicy, this one's guaranteed to get you hooked too! Each one is at least twice the size of a regular shumai. The gyoza had chewy skins and were delicious too. Picking from the menu is tough, but you've got to try the Kichi omelet! By the way, the gold/silver/bronze on the menu apparently mean: Gold: completely original Bronze: probably original Silver: couldn't decide between gold or bronze This explanation isn't written anywhere, so the menu is hard to decipher! lol Sizes come in S/MS/M, but even MS was plenty to share among 5 people. Eating and drinking all this came to 2,800 yen per person—shockingly cheap! Since it's a one-person kitchen, dishes take time, so I recommend reserving in advance via Instagram or phone and telling them your order ahead of time. ※Without a reservation, apparently each dish takes about 30 minutes to come out Next time I want to try the noodles.
