I came in around 11:30 before attending a nearby event. About half the seats were already occupied. The food took a fairly long time to arrive. It had been a while since I'd been to バーミヤン; the flavors were mild and easy to eat. The seasoning apparently feels a little lacking for men. Is it because the dishes aren't ceramic? Maybe because they're plastic... they felt a little greasy... But it's like that everywhere, so I suppose it can't be helped. The staff were considerate too, and despite being busy, they brought dessert promptly, which helped everything go smoothly. I'd like to visit again.

I visited around this time last year for lunch and other meals too, so this was roughly my 3rd visit. They offer lunch from Monday-Saturday, but I missed the timing. I ordered 天津飯679円+large portion50円+杏仁豆腐91円. The 杏仁豆腐 arrived immediately, but the 天津飯 took a little while. A soup bar was included, so I drank lots of soup while waiting. The 天津飯 itself was a satisfying amount, especially since I'd made it a large portion. Then there was the soup bar. I ended up properly full. Getting full for somewhere in the 700円 range makes it good value. If value and portion size are your priorities, バーミヤン beats ジョナサン. If you're gathering with people near ネコワンズ新小岩 and want good value and generous portions, this バーミヤン is a contender. It was a dependable place.

バーミヤン新小岩店, within walking distance of JR Shin-Koiwa Station, appears to operate in rented space on the 2nd floor of an apartment building. Access is by stairs only, so it may be a little challenging for people with mobility difficulties or those using strollers. The interior is spacious, with generous room between seats, making it comfortable to enjoy a meal. The male server who brought our food seemed a little low on energy, but I hope they'll keep working toward making the restaurant even better.

My first visit to バーミヤン in decades. Delicious, with a wide-ranging menu—really nice. The lunch menu is reasonably priced too. The restaurant isn't crowded. You can pay at your table too. The tables are spacious; it's a good place. I'll be back.
