A few minutes' walk from Tokyo Station's Yaesu Central Exit. In a corner lined with office buildings, there is a place that gently soothes your fatigue after work. Drawn by the two signature specialties in its name, I visited this time for drinks with colleagues. The interior is a calm space with a Japanese atmosphere. It has semi-private rooms divided by bamboo blinds as well as fully private rooms, allowing you to enjoy relaxed conversation without worrying about other people's eyes. The star is 「おでん」. The ingredients thoroughly absorb the special homemade broth, and every one has a deeply nourishing flavor. The daikon is so tender that chopsticks slide right through, soaked with the broth's umami, and melts juicily in your mouth. Sipping sake around warm oden is truly a moment of bliss. There is also a wide selection of side dishes, and 「明太子入り出汁巻き玉子」 was particularly exquisite. The fluffy cooked egg contains spicy mentaiko as an accent. The sashimi, said to come directly from Toyosu, was also exceptionally fresh. It is a welcome bonus that the seafood is high quality as well as the beef tongue. Courses with all-you-can-drink options start at around 5,000円, and considering the location and private rooms, I felt the value was excellent. The staff were courteous, and the timing of the dishes was perfect. Their thoughtful attention to detail made for a comfortable visit. When I crave “delicious meat and warm broth” near Tokyo Station, this restaurant is one of the first places that comes to mind. Apparently they also serve lunch and stay open late, making it useful for various occasions. Next time, I would like to return for a leisurely visit to try the beef sukiyaki hot pot I missed this time.
View on GoogleAfter a weekday business dinner, we headed to the Yaesu area for a quick drink at one more place. We found this spot while looking for somewhere accessible that we could easily drop into. It is in the basement, so I hesitated a little at first, but once inside, the pleasantly lively atmosphere immediately put me at ease. Places with this “just-right mood after work” really are convenient. First, we ordered some fried food. It was better than expected. The coating was properly crisp—just incredibly crunchy. The light texture at the first bite was satisfying, and it did not feel especially greasy or heavy. Fried food like this makes you want another plate, and its compatibility with beer goes without saying. Next came the rolled omelet. This made quite an impression, served with a generous pile of mentaiko on top. It looked appetizing, and when we tasted it, the saltiness of the mentaiko really combined with the fluffy egg, making it quite substantial. A simple dish, but the generous portion was a welcome touch. Then there were the ray fins. These also came in a generous portion, with a lovely aroma from slow grilling. The more you chew, the more umami emerges—an absolute drink thief. Snacks like this make it all too easy to have another glass. Overall, the dishes all went well with alcohol and naturally lifted the mood. Although the beef tongue and oden caught my interest, that day we were completely won over by the “menu that gets you drinking.” It is just right for enjoying drinks rather than a substantial meal. Knowing a place like this is a real advantage when you want a quick drink in Yaesu. Unpretentious, yet properly satisfying. It makes you want to drop by casually again.
View on GoogleBeef tongue and soothing oden near Tokyo Station I visited 「牛タンとおでん 山崎 八重洲本店」, conveniently located a 5-minute walk from Tokyo Station. The restaurant has semi-private rooms and a calm atmosphere where you can enjoy a leisurely meal(^^) The signature oden thoroughly absorbs the broth, with a gentle flavor so delicious it warms your heart. Along with classics like daikon and eggs, there is plenty of variety to enjoy without getting bored. The broth's umami is especially well balanced, making you want to drink the soup too. The beef tongue is thick and juicy! Both tender and satisfying to bite into, it releases umami with every mouthful and left me very satisfied(^^) The staff were also very courteous, with thorough explanations of the dishes and thoughtful attention, making the visit comfortable. This restaurant has everything: food, atmosphere, and service, and makes you think, “I want to come again.” I highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious beef tongue or oden around Tokyo Station(^o^)
View on Google【Delicious motsunabe in Yaesu!】 Today, off to 【牛タンとおでん 山崎 八重洲本店】 in Yaesu, a few minutes' walk from Tokyo Station! We visited after a business trip when a colleague from the same intake and I decided to go for a drink! We chose it for its easy access and atmosphere that looked suitable for relaxed drinks! First, a toast with beer! Our first dish was basashi! The lean horse meat was moist, with rich umami spreading the more you chewed. It was simply delicious with the sauce, but adding grated garlic gave it a sudden punch and made it incredibly tasty! Absolutely a drinking dish—the beer just kept flowing! Next, rich and delicious! Hakata motsunabe! The offal was wonderfully springy, with a distinct sweetness from the fat and a really satisfying bite! It was packed with vegetables for good balance, and the soup was strongly flavored, garlicky, and rich! Excellent as a drinking accompaniment and satisfying as a proper meal, this 3150 dish works for nibbling while drinking or filling your stomach at the end! And you can't skip the grilled skewers! Of the various ones we ordered, my personal hits were the hearts and skin! The hearts had a firm, springy texture and plenty of umami—a simple but very well-executed skewer! The skin was grilled crisp, releasing the umami of its fat and once again encouraging more drinks! The interior was clean and laid out like semi-private rooms, striking just the right balance between feeling the surrounding buzz and enjoying relaxed drinks in our own space! The food was delicious and very satisfying, making it a convenient spot for a drink after a business trip or a quick drink with colleagues! I'll stop by again after my next business trip!
View on GoogleMy first visit to 「牛タンとおでん 山崎 八重洲本店」, with excellent access from Tokyo Station. Along with the convenience of being near the station, I was drawn by the chance to enjoy a relaxed meal in a fully private room. The private room had a calm atmosphere—a truly private space. You can spend time without worrying about your surroundings, making it perfect for a date or drinks with friends. In the quiet setting with comfortable lighting, I could leisurely savor delicious food and drinks. The signature beef tongue was absolutely irresistible for a beef tongue lover. Despite its thickness, it was surprisingly tender, with juicy umami spreading the more I chewed. The salt seasoning was perfect too, making it an ideal accompaniment to drinks. The yakitori I had with the beef tongue was also unexpectedly high quality, with a distinct charcoal-grilled aroma. The negima and tsukune in particular were plump and juicy, giving the impression that no corners were cut on dishes beyond the beef tongue. I could appreciate the high standard of the restaurant's food overall. Oden is another signature dish, and the broth-soaked daikon and eggs had a comforting flavor. Different from an oden shop where you eat at the counter, leisurely enjoying oden in a private room is also lovely. The gentle broth warmed my body and reminded me of the appeal of Japanese cuisine. This time I ordered à la carte, but apparently they also have course menus with all-you-can-drink options. Next time, I would like to try a course and enjoy a variety of dishes. Given the quality of the food, the value looks promising too. The staff were courteous, and their service maintained a comfortable degree of distance. It is a real pleasure to have a fully private room in Yaesu and enjoy beef tongue and yakitori of this quality. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting delicious beef tongue in a calm setting around Tokyo Station. It was a very satisfying dinner.
