We had a fantastic yakiniku (Japanese BBQ) dinner at this hidden gem. It's on floor 2, accessible by escalator/elevator/stairs, though tucked away on the far (north) side of the building. We had a good conversation with the owner, a lovely lady from Kyushu. All of the beef at the restaurant is sourced from her family farm in the westernmost part of Japan. An English menu was available for us foreigners. The Saga beef was tender and delicious, as were the drinks (peach or grapefruit with shochu). You can't go wrong with ordering any of the rib or loin cuts, though the daily specials were the best. The Yanai salad was a generous serving. Condiments were minimal: just salt, sweet soy sauce, gochujang and some wasabi. Note that customers must cook the meat themselves, unlike some other yakiniku joints where the staff cook for you.
View on GoogleNice little Yakiniku shop hidden inside of Kachidoki view tower on the second floor. The quality of meat here is good and they got English menu too. Price is a bit higher and potion is fairly small but the quality is there for sure. Tho it is a small scale restaurant so it takes time and also gets too busy when it’s full. I recommend to go there in small group. There were few solo diners too and u can enjoy the dinner peacefully there.
View on GoogleA friend recommended this yakiniku restaurant as it is near Team Labs and we had such an amazing meal. We arrived a bit early for our reservation and were happy that there was a playground right below for our son as we waited. The owner was so patient in explaining the different beef cuts to us, which is all raised from her family’s farm! There’s an English menu available and owner speaks English. Top of our list include the nigiri, outside skirt, loin, and short rib items. All tasted so delicious, it had such great beefy flavor and was so tender. The rice and house sake are also from the family’s farm and were both so good! The interior is modern and sleek, service was top notch. Yakiniku Yanai is a hidden gem and we highly recommend it. We can’t wait to come on our next Tokyo trip!
