**Kyokasuzuke Uokyu (Uokyu)** is a long-established shop that sells fish marinated in sake lees and also runs a Japanese restaurant. The shop on the 1st floor sells fish carefully marinated in a sake-lees bed passed down through generations. Kasuzuke can be ordered from a single slice, so it's easy to choose as a dish for your everyday table. We also offer assortments for various purposes, used as gifts for weddings, funerals, greetings, and more. On weekdays (Mon–Fri) from 11:00 to 14:00 (last order 13:30), we serve a kasuzuke set meal. Served with rice, miso soup, freshly grilled kasuzuke fish, and a small side dish, it's a set meal for simply enjoying the taste of Uokyu. For first-timers and solo diners…

This place is a true gem and a perfect lunch option if you're looking for kasuzuke-style grilled fish. The combination of incredibly tasty, expertly prepared menus with an attentive and kind staff makes this place definitely worth visiting.

Definitely a hidden gem in Ginza. I ordered the あじみせ定食 for ¥1,980. The grilled fish set was wonderfully seasoned! I can eat this everyday for the rest of my life. Go early to avoid the lineups, they open at 11am. Everyone is super friendly at the restaurant which makes the entire experience even better. You won't regret it.

Since 1914, they have successfully caught many customers tastes and mind. Grilled fish set is only serving during lunch hour. Fish pickled in sweet Japanese (Kyoto-style) sake-lees (kasuzuke) are very yummy! It is a little bit out of regular lunch budget as a salaryman but still deserved to try. Be there earlier, better before 11:30, or expected a long queue. By the way, their rice is pretty awesome! (The rice is free-flowing)
