築地うなぎ食堂Unagi Shokudo
This is “Tsukiji Unagi Shokudo,” an eel specialty restaurant in the Tsukiji Outer Market. With the motto “Every day is Doyo no Ushi no Hi,” we aim to be a place where eel can be enjoyed more casually, not just as a treat for special occasions. Starting with unaju made with fragrantly grilled eel, we offer a wide range of services including dine-in, takeout, delivery, and bento for businesses and meetings. Using our own patented technology “JET CHEF,” we are also working on offering warm bento that can be heated on the spot and eaten without any power source. Together with our official character “築地の陽ちゃん,” under the theme “To eat is to live.,” we share the joy of food and the charm of Tsukiji…

Don't get yourself fooled by some comments about the attitude and vibe. They treated us very nicely, and the food was superb. The unagidon, wagyudon, soup, tea and all the stuff were delicious, big portions and ridiculously low prices. Much better if you go early in the morning without all the tiktokers ruining the atmosphere.
View on GoogleWe stopped by a street unagi place that had a big crowd around it, so it looked promising at first. They claimed to serve A5 unagi, but once they heated it up and handed it to us, it tasted just like regular unagi you’d get at any sushi restaurant—nothing special at all. Later, I did some research and realized that A5 unagi is extremely rare, so it’s pretty unlikely you’d get a real A5 piece for 1,500 yen. I also overheard the vendor speaking Chinese to the guy on the grill, and that made me wonder about the authenticity of the place. Overall, I’d skip this spot if you’re looking for genuinely good unagi.
View on GoogleIn the bustling heart of Tsukiji Outer Market, where tourists and locals collide in a delightful chaos, Unagi Shokudo beckons with promises of grilled goodness. Nestled amidst the stalls, this shokudo is a hidden gem, offering a culinary escapade into the world of grilled unagi and scallops. Let's dive into a skewerful of Tsukiji magic! Unagi Unleashed: Pricey but Oh-So-Worthy At first glance, the price tag might raise an eyebrow or two—1000 yen for a skewer stick of unagi. But fear not, for the flavor-packed journey begins with the first bite. Opt for two skewers, and you'll find yourself dancing on a palate paradise for 1900 yen. Feeling a bit extra? Three skewers can be yours for 2700 yen. Is it worth it? Absolutely. Scallops Symphony: Juicy, Aromatic, and Irresistible Moving on to the scallops, each stick is a steal at 400 yen, and the real steal is the trio deal at 1000 yen. Picture this: four large, juicy scallops, expertly grilled on the spot. The grilling maestro applies layers of sauce, creating an aromatic masterpiece that dances on your taste buds. Delicious? Oh, you bet. Recommended? Without a doubt. Culinary Theater: The Grilling Extravaganza As you watch the grilling performance unfold, you can't help but marvel at the culinary theater before you. The unagi skewers boast an exciting caramelizing action, the exterior turning into a delectable canvas for the savory sauce. It's a symphony of sizzles and flavors, leaving you in awe of the grilling prowess. The Verdict: Pricey Pleasures, but Worth Every Yen While the prices may lean towards the steeper side, the grilled unagi and scallops at Unagi Shokudo are undeniably worth the yen. Each bite is a journey into the rich flavors of the sea, with the bustling energy of Tsukiji Outer Market as the backdrop.
View on GoogleThe unagidon (unagi rice set) here was absolutely to die for. Full stop. 😍 The grilled eel was perfectly cooked — soft, flavorful, and had that beautiful smoky aroma that melts in your mouth. They offer several types of unagidon, ranging from the regular options to premium-quality ones. I went for the most affordable premium unagidon, and it was already amazing — rich, tender, and so satisfying. Definitely worth every yen. Next visit, I’m going to try the higher-end premium unagidon set, because if the “cheapest” one was this good, I can only imagine how incredible the top one must be!
View on GoogleThere is nothing special about the unagi don here, it taste so-so, not seems to run by local. Saw from the poster it actually has some outlets in Singapore.
