Don't be fooled by appearances. The restaurant was clean, staff was polite. My biggest disappointment was in the food. Sushi was nicely plated and LOOKED good, but the taste was absolutely awful: not fresh, fishy aftertaste. Even the drinking water served had a fishy aftertaste. The fish pieces were cut too thickly and were too chewy, like rubber. Ingredients quality and freshness could definitely use improvement. Not worth the high prices they charge for food; there was much to be desired.

My first ever sushi experience in Japan. You can order as little as just 1 piece. Large sushi menu. We tried the medium fatty tuna & salmon. There’s a lot of indoor seating which is a great way to get out of the busy market street.

All-you-can-eat sushi in Tokyo — and every piece is made right in front of you. At Tsukiji Magoe-mon, the chef prepares each nigiri to order, using fresh sashimi and seasonal ingredients. In addition to sushi, there are also well-balanced side dishes that make the experience feel thoughtful and complete. The atmosphere in the evening is calm and refined, with the gentle sounds of knives and the subtle aroma of soy sauce filling the space. A memorable sushi experience in Tsukiji, especially if you enjoy watching the craftsmanship up close.

Our 4-5th time here and first time reviewing. We always the first customer in as we like sushi as breakfast here. Loved the food - the sushi, tuna skewers, the simple soup. Easy going. Delicious.

This was the first place we went out to eat in Japan, so we were afraid, but the staff were very lovely and quickly put us at ease :) We ordered the Chef Recommendation 10 piece set (2900 yen) and every piece was delightful - even the complementary potato salad!
