Please enjoy the gentle nigiri made by Maeda, grand master chef (sō-oyakata) of Tsukiji Aozora Sandaime.

OCT 2024 Made a reservation for lunch omakase and upon arriving I was told that I was at the wrong branch. The staff was very friendly and helpful, taking me to the correct branch which was a few stores apart. The first floor does grilled fish and seafood bowls; and on the second floor is a corridor that leads to the open room with a small sushi counter with only about six seats. The omakase I had consist of 11 nigiri sushi and a hosomaki roll prepared by a senior chef who has been making sushi for over 60 years which was very impressive. The course was fast pace, utilizing fresh seafood and well seasoned red vinegar rice; nothing fancy; just simple and delicious. The lunch was over in 30 minutes but probably it would have been a bit longer if the session was fully seated; it was a great experience nonetheless with the whole place to myself. Overall the chef and the staffs were friendly and hospitable.

We tried many sushi restaurants and this one was our best. Oyakata (sushi master) serves you sushi omakase course. It was divine! We enjoyed the real sushi experience with a reasonable price (only $35 p/p) Their citrus drink (hebesu soda) is really good too. Not sweet, citrus acid elevates all the craftily prepared fish. Reservation is recommended.

Chef was impolite, and mocked at tourists with other local guests as we do not understand Japanese. Our uni portions were also less than other guests. Racist. I have had a wonderful omakase experience in Fukuoka which the chef brought an ipad to show us the picture of each fish and tried to translate in english. I do not see any effort this chef is trying except mocking.

Visited because I had business in Tsukiji. The veteran head chef's way of forming nigiri is indescribably perfect, and delicious! Of course the toppings are fresh and each is prepared with great care, and on top of that the rice is fluffy, the sushi vinegar uses red vinegar, and you can really smell the aroma of the nori. We ate at the counter, and watching them work so deftly was fun too♪ From the phone service to the in-store hospitality, everyone was cheerful, polite, and really pleasant; I felt that even though it's an area overflowing with inbound tourists, they work without any arrogance. It seems lunch comes in 5,500 yen and 8,800 yen options🍣 Thank you for the meal👼
