トライアンフギャラリーTriumph Gallery
Triumph Gallery, just a short walk from Tokyo Station and Nihonbashi Station, sells works imported directly from Europe, the home of oil painting, as well as works by Japanese painters. Once purchased, an oil painting has semi-permanent durability, so you can enjoy it well into the future. You can gain, well into the future, a part of "happiness," humanity's ultimate wish. In Japan there isn't much of a habit of spending money on paintings such as oil paintings, but with original hand-painted works, it pays to buy sooner. Most people who have hung original hand-painted works say they wish they had bought one sooner. Japan is such an economic powerhouse (thanks to our predecessors, it went from burned-out ruins to a top-tier economy in 20-some years after the war…

I was drawn in by the 1000 yen framed postcards at the entrance and went inside. There were all kinds of works, and every one was lovely✨ There was a piece I liked that isn't easily swayed by seasons or trends, so I bought it. I visited with my husband and kids, and it was a very kind, gentle, heartwarming space💭 My kids are still little, but the staff member said that someday, when they grow up, leave home, and come back, this will become "the painting of their family home," and that really got to me. I'd be happy if my kids come into contact with paintings and grow to love them☺️ The entrance hallway felt bare, and I'd thought about putting a houseplant there, but gave up because it gets no sunlight. I thought the green would really stand out if I hung this painting, so I tried hanging it in the hallway. This was my first time buying a painting, but apparently some people have a hard time coming across one that makes them instantly feel "This is it!" Paintings are a once-in-a-lifetime encounter too. I'll stop by again when I'm nearby! Thank you very much.
View on GoogleAs a memento of a family trip to Tokyo in the summer two years ago. The kids had grown up, and thinking this might be our last family trip, I came up with the idea of buying a painting as a keepsake. I'd found the shop on Google Maps and went straight there from Tokyo Station. The staff member (the owner?) showed me all sorts of paintings and I got to hear about them too. I was torn over which to choose, but in the end I bought the one I'd had my eye on from the website. It was a reasonably priced oil painting, but they sent it to me in a really splendid frame. It was my first time buying a painting. Maybe because it was painted by the artist's own hand, I never get tired of looking at it, and I enjoy glancing at it now and then or gazing at it closely and imagining all sorts of things.
View on GoogleSuch a cozy and genuine shop with incredibly nice owners! We visited the shop twice during our stay in Tokyo and left happy and satisfied with new paintings both times. We were also offered tea and talked for a long time with the owner and his mother. There were incredibly beautiful paintings in different styles, and at very good prices. Highly recommend you come here, we will next time we're in Japan!😄
View on GoogleFound it while passing by and went in. Both young people and older folks were coming in to buy. An incredibly kind, courteous, gentlemanly person explained everything to me in detail. I really felt how important it is to have a professional give a careful explanation and talk about a work's appeal. The painting I fell for at first sight became even more attractive and I came to love it even more. There are expensive treasures, but also plenty of affordable pieces, so you can casually drop in. The painting I bought was such a bargain I wondered, is this price really okay?
View on GoogleI was looking for a painting to hang in our living room, searched online, and visited this shop, which had high review ratings, together with my husband. The owner was very kind and explained things carefully, so I was able to buy with peace of mind. I'm so happy to have come across a wonderful painting by an Italian artist that I fell in love with at first sight. I'll display it with care♪ Thank you very much.
